A Field of Dreams or Nightmares?

Note from NWP Editor: It's our judgment (per 1 Corinthians 14:23) that this has application to Northwesterners.

NOTE FROM RICK JOYNER: This is a word that was first circulated in The Morning Star Journal, Volume 6.2. Because so many have reread this and felt that it addressed our present situation, we decided to re-release it. With the exception of a few word changes for the sake of clarity, this is exactly what was circulated in April 1996. I still agree with the interpretation included.

While praying about the future of our economy, I was given a vision of a long, lush green field. I felt that this represented a long period of economic prosperity, which has generally been the case since that time. While praying in August 1995, I saw this field in a vision again, but with much more detail. The end of the field was covered in fog. Not far into the fog there was a very steep cliff. In the middle of the cliff, there was a narrow, twisting, steep path that appeared like a descending bridge. It had the same green grass on it that the field did and went all the way to the bottom.

Those who walked into the fog almost all missed the little path and fell over the cliff. Some of these died, but nets below the cliffs caught many of them. However, these nets were not there to save the people but to trap them. Others entered the fog carefully, dropping to their knees and searching for the path, which they seemed to intuitively know was there. Most of those looking for the path were able to find it and carefully started down on their knees. A few people had parachutes, and they jumped off the cliff into the fog.

At the bottom there was a sea with four kinds of ships in the harbor: slave ships, warships, luxury liners, and hospital ships. Most of the ships were slavers. The next greatest number was warships. There were only five hospital ships, all of which were on clean, well-kept docks right in the middle of the harbor. The two luxury liners were docked at each end of the harbor. An abundance of supplies were on their docks, but both the docks and ships looked filthy and poorly maintained. No warships were docked, but all kept moving about in the harbor.

The people who fell into the nets were put on the slave ships. Most of those who made it down the steep paths headed for the hospital ships, but many did head for the luxury liners. Of those who headed for the luxury liners, some were captured and made to board a slave ship.

The luxury liners were closely guarded, and obviously under the control of the warships. The warships occasionally took people from the slave ships and luxury liners, and they were taking whoever they wanted—they could not be resisted.

Those from the hospital ships were also taking people from the other ships. However, they only took the weakest or those who were so sick or wounded and not expected to live.

The crewmen of the hospital ships were shown respect because they wore brilliant armor that seemed to confound everyone else. Those who were jumping off the cliff with the parachutes were all landing on the hospital ships or their docks.

When a slave ship would fill up it would depart, making frequent turns as if it knew where it was going. The warships were also making so many turns that it seemed impossible to tell which way they would go next. Any ship that happened to be in the way of a warship when it turned was blasted and sunk by the warship. If the warships turned toward each other, they started shooting at each other until one was sunk.

Because of the fog, many ships collided with other ships and sank. The water was filled with sharks that quickly devoured those who fell into it. The confusion, despair, and fear over the harbor were as thick as the fog. When the fog thickened, these fears would intensify. When the fog would thin a little, hope would begin to rise in the people. When the fog lifted enough so that the open sea could be seen, the ships would begin heading for it.

The hospital ships were also the only ones who seemed to be sailing as if they knew where they were going. They could sail right through the chaos in the harbor and into the open sea at will. One or two of them were constantly going out to sea, disappearing for a time, and then they would return. Then another would go and do the same.

As I followed one of these ships to the open sea in the vision, all of a sudden it was as if I was standing on the bridge of the ship. The farther out we went, the more the sky cleared. Soon it became bluer than I had ever seen it, except when flying in a high altitude jet. I was so intrigued by the sky that I had not been watching the sea. When I looked back at it, I saw that we were actually flying at a very high altitude.

I thought that we were going out into space, but soon we descended toward what appeared to be a whole new world. It was composed of islands, each with a different culture of people on it. The wounded on our hospital ship were placed on several of the different islands, so that each wounded person was placed with those from his or her own culture.

These islands were at perfect peace, and there were beautiful white bridges connecting them to one another, with a constant flow of people on the bridges. On each island vast foundations were being laid for a great city.

Even though each island was very different, and different from any place that I had ever seen, I felt immediately at home on each one. They were each like paradise, and though they seemed to be on a different world, I knew that they were somehow very close to the one I had just left.

Interpretation and Insights

That I can now see the end of this field indicates that the end of our economic prosperity is now in sight. What I saw at the end was much more catastrophic than I had ever thought. There are some very dark times ahead, but at the same time there is a whole new world being built right in our midst that is more wonderful than we can even imagine.

To the degree that we have built our lives and faith on the economy of the world, we have built on a very shaky foundation. We know that the time will come when everything that can be shaken will be. The time that we have been given until that happens is for the purpose of preparation. Let us build our hope and trust on the kingdom that alone cannot be shaken.

Those who kept walking into the fog just as they had been walking in the open field, not discerning or not acknowledging the change, either perished or fell into slavery. Those who immediately fell to their knees found a safe way down, but it still led down. They had to stay on their knees all the way; no one could have stood up on that slope because it was too steep and narrow. Falling to our knees speaks of prayer. As soon as we see the fog, or confusion, we must pray for every step we take thereafter.

That no one ascended, but all went down to the bottom of the cliff, spoke to me that the economy of the whole world was going down. Many will survive what is coming, but not at the level they are presently. Much of our present standard of living has been built upon credit, borrowing from the future, and the future is now here. We are fast approaching the time when the bills will have to be paid. That will cause a drastic reduction of our present lifestyles.

I felt that the slave ships were banks. During the Great Depression, banks were so over extended that most of them failed. Somehow, they have now positioned themselves to not only survive another economic collapse, but will actually be in a place to enslave those who are in debt to them.

The warships were all different sizes, and I felt represented different powers. Their efforts were not coordinated, but they all seemed to be in as much confusion as everyone else, and all seemed to be at war with one another. They lived by plundering the other ships and each other. I believe that in the times ahead, small wars will be flashing up almost everywhere and without apparent reason. Anyone who gets in the way of those with some power will be in trouble.

The luxury ships were so filthy that it seemed only slightly better to be on one of them instead of a slave or warship. It was obvious that the luxury of the future will not be as we know it today. Also, the luxury ships were constantly being plundered by the warships, making them almost an intolerable place to be. Even a hint of luxury in the future may only serve to make us targets.

I knew that the hospital ships were the church. They were glistening white with red crosses on them. They were so bright and clean that they stood out dramatically in this vision. White speaks of purity, and the red crosses spoke to me that they were bearing the cross. Red is also the color of sacrifice. These ships were so beautiful that anyone would have wanted to be on them. The church will become the most desirable place in the world to be, and the church will become the pure vessel she is called to be when she takes up the cross, committing herself to the life of sacrifice. In the times ahead, the life of sacrifice and service to others will be the most desirable life in the world and will actually be a glorious place to dwell.

The people on the hospital ships each wore brilliant, silver armor. They, too, stood out dramatically whenever they appeared, and this caused everyone to show them great respect, even the warships. This spoke to me that when believers learn to wear their armor, they will command the whole world's respect and have authority because of it.

The docks of the hospital ships were also spotless and were overflowing with supplies. There was far more wealth on them than on the luxury ships, but the wealth was being used for service, not luxury. Because the individuals with the armor and the hospital ships commanded such respect, no one was trying to plunder their great stocks of supplies, even though they were obvious to everyone.

When a hospital ship pulled between two warships that were fighting, they would stop fighting and give them their wounded. It seemed that this was one of the primary purposes of these ships, to simply stop the fighting whenever they could.

In the midst of the chaos of this place, the dignity, resolve, and purpose that the Christians and their ships moved with was stunning. The greatest feeling came over me when I stood on the bridge of the ship leaving for the open sea. That feeling was freedom. As soon as we entered the open sea, we ascended into the heavenly places. Once out of the fog, we did not travel on the earth. When we came back down, it was to a seemingly new earth, even though I knew somehow that it was right in the middle of what I had left.

That I entered this extraordinary freedom on a hospital ship speaks of finding our true peace when we take up our crosses to serve others. When we do this, we will begin to dwell in the heavenly places. Then we will see the earth very differently—we will see what God is doing. I really felt that those paradise islands were already right in our midst, but we just could not see them yet.

At the very time when the world descends into a terrible chaos, which will probably begin with economic chaos, God is building bridges between people that will be the foundation of a glorious future. The end of this age is the beginning of the one over which Christ will reign. In Revelation 17:15 we are told that, “The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.” The sea often represents mass humanity in prophetic language. That the sea at the bottom of the cliff was in the most terrible chaos represents what the kingdoms of this world are headed for. The islands represent that the Lord is also laying a foundation for His kingdom right in our midst at this same time. That I knew these islands were close to the sea of confusion spoke to me that what the Lord is about to build on the earth is also very close at hand.

The bridges are right now being built between people. The bridges were for interchange, and it was obvious to me that each island was building something wonderful, as if it were the very best from their culture in order to share it with the other islands. That new foundations were being laid for cities represented a whole new beginning for the earth. What is now being built for the Lord, for the sake of His kingdom, will remain and be a foundation for the age to come.

Prophetic Word for 2013

As I've felt stirred to release a prophetic word for 2013, much of what the Lord has shown me has been building over the last two or three years. We are now entering into 2013, and much of what has been prophesied and declared in years past is coming to fruition this year.

Change is Upon Us

We are living in a time of great change, largely because the Church that is coming forth has never been seen before. She is bold, she is beautiful, and she knows who she is! There is a great reformation going on within the body of Christ, where there has been so many misunderstandings regarding scripture and the way we interpret the bible. I believe God is raising up anointed teachers that will have a heart after God, they will teach out of a deep love for the Lord, bringing a solid biblical foundation to the Church (James 3:1).

There is going to be a great return to the scriptures, with the power of revelation flowing through the Church again. God wants all of His children to encounter Him for themselves, and the spirit of wisdom & revelation are going to illuminate our understanding of who God is, and how He feels about us (Ephesians 1:17-19).

There have been many people who feel like their lives have been on hold for a number of years; and they have not known how to move forward with the plan of God for their lives. God is granting His people the grace they need to step out in faith and move toward the things He has already placed inside of them. Many people are going to take the plunge and move towards the things that have been in there heart from the beginning. This will require wisdom and faith, but God is more than ready to supply you with what you need.

The spirit of revelation flows in unity with grace, as revelation empowers you to accomplish what God has placed in your spirit. Many people have been waiting for God to tell them what to do, when in reality God has already placed His desires within them.

Investigation

2013 will be a year of investigation for the body of Christ, as God is going to stir up a spirit of discovery in His people to look into His word and ask hard questions. Currently the Church is being challenged to become a new wineskin, in order to retain the new wine of Gods word & Spirit. God is stirring up a desire to search out the truth. You will hear of many people who are willing to lay aside what they know, in order to search out what they do not know (Proverbs 25:2).

The Role of a Prophet

The role of a prophet in the New Testament is to encourage the Church to fully engage with the voice of the Lord for themselves, not settling for anything less than an authentic relationship with Him. A NT Prophet has not been anointed to be a mediator between God and the church, as Christ has become our mediator for all eternity (1 Timothy 2:5).

The ascension gift of a prophet is to help mature the body of Christ, not to be the go between for you and God. There is a great restoration of prophetic anointing that is flowing out of the Church today, but God is far from finished regarding the biblical function and application of prophetic ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

A true prophetic anointing will remove the spiritual limitations in your path, and enable you to see what you were not able to see before. A true prophetic anointing will stir you to run further into your future than you ever thought possible, seeing the future as God intended you to see it.

In 2013 and beyond, the misunderstandings much of the Church has had regarding the prophetic anointing, and how it relates to the Church today under a New Covenant are going to be cleared up. There have been many prophets who are still prophesying out of a former glory, rather than speaking to Gods people through His finished work.

There are many people who want to be the voice of the Lord to this nation, yet they are prophesying based on their opinion of how God sees this nation. This can create confusion because they are filtering what God is telling them through their own pre-conceived idea about what is in store for us. I believe God is raising up prophetic voices that can keep their opinions out of the equation, while releasing a pure word in season.

The Father wants His children to hear His voice for themselves; He wants us weaned from the dependency of prophetic words. God wants us to look to Him for the answers, and not go chasing a prophetic word. This does not diminish the value of prophetic ministry, this just means that it's time we mature in our relationship with God and let prophetic words enhance that relationship when needed.

The Maturation of the Church

God is forming a fully functional body for Himself; as the church is becoming more like Jesus. We are learning what pleases Him, as we are made in His image and likeness. The days of living under a hierarchy form of Church government are coming to a close, as God never intended the Church to have positions of authority that Lord over one another. The difference between the kingdom of God and all the other government structures we see in the earth is that Gods kingdom is a family, built on relationship.

Many have tried to govern the Church as a top down structure, rather than seeing the church as a bottom up kingdom. The Apostle Paul wrote: Having been built on the foundation of the apostles & prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). A true Apostolic & Prophetic anointing will always come underneath the people of God and lift them up into the next realm of glory God has prepared for them. I believe there is going to be a greater understanding of the five fold ministry, and how it will function within our churches and the community's we live in.

What Is This Revival Going to Look Like?

Compiled by Don Deskins, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada

Before Lou and I moved to Canada, I was looking for the Third Great Awakening to start at any time in the US. I didn't know what it was going to look like, but I felt that something really big was going to happen. After being in Canada awhile, I started doing a bit of research on revivals and what they looked like. Canada has never had a nationwide revival, although there have been several pockets of a real Move of God. In my research, I found a few prophecies that stated Canada was headed for a great awakening, or Move of God, and that through this (or at the same time), the US and other nations would have a revival.

The following is a list of characteristics of what I believe will happen in this Move of God.

1. This revival will be different from anything that has happened in the past. Do not look for God to do what He did in the US during the Great Awakening or the Second Great Awakening. If you do, you will miss what God has for you. (confirmed by Charlie Robison on 03/22/2011 in Kelowna).

2. The revival will be led by lay people, not pastors, preachers or evangelists. The lay people will be those that are in tune with the Holy Spirit and have a heart for God. Those gifts that were intended for use outside "the church", will be used in a dramatic way. People will be healed, and eyes will be opened with words of wisdom and knowledge from "normal" people. People will suddenly feel the Spirit of God move within them, and they will speak as if God Himself were speaking. The lay people will "naturally" do what is right, being led by the Holy Spirit. This is not to say that pastors, etc. won't have a role, but the main thrust will be through lay people.

3. There will be a God ordained "civil war" within the church. In the same way that Paul had to rebuke Peter for compromising the Gospel through his actions with the Judaizers, there will be a desire to get back to the pure truth of the Gospel: that is, that there is no way to the Father except by a confession of faith in the Lord Jesus. We are not talking about doctrinal differences. Those that get into a fight over doctrinal differences will be left behind in this revival (or may find themselves in a fight with God). Instead, we are talking about any "gospel" that is preached distorts who God (the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit) is and teaches any other way to the Father than through Jesus. (this has already started)

4. Related to the items above, the Lord will use the people who have been rejected by "the church" in the past. These include those that have sinned greatly, but have been miraculously transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Just as the Apostle Paul was transformed from a murderer to a warrior for God, so shall these days be. As people are being saved, God will transform them into soldiers for God. God is going to use ex-drug dealers and addicts, ex-gang members, ex-prostitutes, etc.... those people who "many sins have been forgiven," will love much (Luke 7:47).

5. Because some in the current church do not understand what is happening, because some will take offense at the outcasts that are coming to salvation, and because there is a split over the True Gospel, many will leave the church, but many more will be moved into the Body of Christ. Those that take offense and don't repent will start mocking, and then move to persecuting the Body of Christ. This may very well include those the are true children of God, but don't accept what is happening in the church.

6. The Body of Christ will become "spotless and without blemish," i.e., she will move into the Righteousness and Holiness that God intended.

7. Any Move of God also includes a great Move within the youth - the very young through the college age. This will be from the very beginning (and may have already started). This will, of course, include the outcasts, but also include the youth from our mainline churches who just "catch fire." The youth will move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a mighty way, so much so that it will astound the older generations.

8. This Move of God will cross all denominational boundaries. This is not about who is right doctrinally, but who God is! Those that deny the Move of God as legitimate because it didn't come from their church or denomination will be left unchanged. Those that claim that the Move of God started with their denomination or church, or lead by their denomination or church, will be left unchanged through this Move because of their hard hearts - they may even open themselves up to the judgment of God. There will be attempts for some to lead this movement, but if they have personal motives, they will crash as an example to others. This movement will truly be lead by the Holy Spirit. He will raise up "leaders" that do not want to be recognized but want the Kingdom to be advanced. Individuals in the Body will just "do" what they are supposed to do.

9. There will be a 24/7 prayer movement in major regions or cities across denominational and church boundaries. (this has already started)

10. There will be a restoration of David's Tabernacle, that is, there will be a movement for 24/7 praise and worship in major cities and regions across denominational and church boundaries.

11. There will be a Move of God to promote justice across all boundaries (socio-economic, racial, etc.). Please note that there is a false "social justice" movement in place at this time that will not get (and will not even try to get) justice. You will recognize the difference in the two by their results.

12. There will be a move by the Body of Christ to secure a place in society for the "fatherless." This includes the UNBORN. Today's trend of abortion on demand will be reversed by the Spirit of God. The Body will make every attempt to empty the orphanages and adopt the fatherless.

13. The Body of Christ will become the New Testament church once more. As the church walks in Holiness and Righteousness, the miracles of Acts will be seen once more. It will be both glorious and terrifying.

14. As the Body of Christ sees what Jesus means to her, individuals will live sacrificially with their finances and their time. Material possessions will become meaningless to the "alive" church. Seeing people added to the Body of Christ will be the church's main focus.

15. The revival will cover all (or most all) nations. Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc. (that is, people from all religions) will have their eyes opened to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be converted.

16. The Body of Christ will learn to truly "walk in the Spirit" and walk in the authority that God has given her.

17. There will be great conflicts and disasters during this time - but for those of us who are focused on Jesus Christ, it will not matter. These troubling events will only strengthen our resolve to do what God has called us to do.

18. This last revival will remain in place until the Lord's return.

The Looming War and Coming Harvest

By Cindy Jacobs
Editor's note: This prophetic message is neither from nor about the Pacific Northwest, though the topics discussed will certainly have bearing on the Northwest region, and on believers in our Northwest region. More importantly, as I was reading this with 1 Corinthians 14:29 in mind, I felt an affirmation and even an urgency from the Lord to share the word.

Rumors of wars seem to be a Middle East staple. Since at least 2008, Iran has been threatening to wipe Israel from the map as it works to build a nuclear program (*Jaseb). Now, an 18-month civil war has destabilized Syria, said to posses 1,000 tons of chemical weapons (*"Obama warns").

Our region has been on the verge of war for years, but I believe the LORD has delayed the conflict. In 2009, the LORD gave me two visions in which I saw Israel's enemies, portrayed as witches, sharks and wolves which were pushed back after intercessors cried out to God. I saw a clock, which moved back from 5 minutes before midnight to 10, then 15 minutes before midnight. (See "Prayer for Israel in a Strategic Time", March 2012).

The purpose of the delay was to allow houses of prayer to be established throughout the Middle East. These regional intercessors will shine a light in the darkness and pull open the doors of heaven. (See "A vision of a 'Gideon' victory in the Middle East", April 2012)

Since 2009, we are in relationship with five houses of prayer in Turkey, three in Lebanon, two in Egypt and two in Dubai. In Israel, in addition to the several houses of prayer in Jerusalem, we know of others established in Tel Aviv, the Galilee and the Golan. Even when God pushes the clock back, it does not stop but continues to move forward. So time has marched on. We must be like the sons of Issachar and discern the times and the seasons (1 Chronicles 12:32).

I have not had the freedom to pray against war, but neither do I sense that this will be a major, end times war such as is described in Ezekiel 37-38 or Zechariah 12-14. What I do sense developing within the next few months is more like a Psalm 83 scenario where a regional confederation menaces Israel.

In the midst of this, I'm hearing three exhortations from the LORD:
  1. Strengthen the Borders.
  2. Build Up Gaps in the Wall.
  3. Prepare for Harvest.
A Level of War for God's Glory

A series of visions the LORD has given me over the past several years speak to that strategy of God. (See "A vision of a 'Gideon' victory in the Middle East", April 2012). In a vision in February 2012, I saw that the LORD had made a protective wall of the blood of Jesus and the positioned angels with their shields and trumpets invisible to His enemies in order to lure them into a trap.

Iran, Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon continue to threaten Israel, as do elements within Gaza and Egypt's Sinai. Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rants (Jaseb) almost quote Psalm 83:4 (NIV): "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel's name is remembered no more." It could be that soon, God may allow a level of war to glorify Himself in Israel and among the nations.

Strengthening the Border

In 2011, on the anniversaries of the establishment of the State of Israel and of the Six-Day War, Palestinian refugees and activists stormed the land borders of Israel. The rush was particularly thick from Syria on these nakba (Arabic for catastrophe) and naksa (Arabic for setback) days. I believe they were trial runs to test Israeli defenses.

The LORD has also highlighted to us the coastal border of Israel, the Mediterranean Sea. The new government in Egypt is allowing Iranian war ships through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean. Most recently, Egypt refused to inspect an Iranian ship laden with weapons for Syria (Haaretz). Also, Egypt will reportedly buy two attack submarines from Germany (Miller).

Pray that the Messianic body in the Land will rise up to intercede for Israel.

A major group of messianic pastors recently called for three days of fasting and prayer on September 22-24. Specifically pray Psalm 28:5-6, which in part says that the LORD will be "a source of strength to those who turn the battle at the gate." (NIV)

Keep praying that the blood of Jesus and His angels would continue to protect the borders, praying Psalm 29:3 (NIV): "The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD thunders over the mighty waters."

Build Up the Gaps in the Walls of Protection

It is vital to fill in the voids in the walls of protection, in our own lives as well for Israel. We are told to "not let the sun go down on our wrath lest we give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:26-27).

While the LORD has set watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem (Isaiah 62:6) He expects the watchmen to repair the gaps. Twice the LORD says in Ezekiel that the prophets were not doing their job of wall building. In Ezekiel 13:4-5, He says that the walls need to be repaired so they"will stand firm in the battle on the day of the LORD." (NIV)

In Ezekiel 22:30, the LORD says He was seeking for someone to stand in the gap so that He could show the nation mercy. It doesn't say fill the gap but stand in it, and in Hebrew it literally means to become the wall, "on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it" (NIV).

The enemy knows the importance of this, so he will try to discourage us in an effort to move us from our position. It is essential to be where God has called each of us when He calls, without envy or jealousy of when and where others may be called to stand.

Prepare for the Harvest

In the psalm, David is reaching for God's presence, His teaching and His mercy. Appropriate to the current rumors of war David also confesses his confidence in the LORD's protection:
The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3, NIV)
I sense the LORD saying that He will allow the shaking of warfare and that it will bring in a harvest. So how do we prepare for this? Not by panicking or running away, nor by forcing our positioning on others. Each of us needs to be where God's wants us to be.

We need to be listening and trusting in His timing... and waiting. David reminds us: "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." (Psalm 27:14, NIV)

Custom Fit Healing Miracles

In Dennis Cramer's E-Book, The Next 100 Years (which you can purchase as a download), Dennis Cramer gave this prophecy on page 14 about a healing breaking out in the Northwest--in small towns...towns such as Albany. He mentions by the way, many other towns, cities, states, and countries in his prophecies, including North and South Korea, etc.

Here's an excerpt from Dennis Cramer's E-Book from pages 14&15:

"Many out-of-the-way places--will be powerfully blessed by God's provision of supernatural healing for chronic, incurable, deadly disorders. These small to medium size towns and villages will not necessarily be easily accessible by the masses, but this will not stop the flood of desperately ill people looking for physical relief and wholeness. God will not disappoint them.
For example, several coastal cities in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and some cities, towns, and villages slightly inland will see many mighty miracles of this kind--a real visitation from Heaven!

Although some of these places will not even have airports, mile after mile of cars and buses will find their way there! A mighty healing revival will break out, gaining the attention of the unsaved population of this region. The churches will not be able to handle the great influx of new converts--the result of this outpouring of undeniable, supernatural power."

The Fullness of Time and the Valley of Decision

Editor's Note: I generally avoid re-posting the Elijah List posts. They are a Northwest group, and I respect Steve and his team, but their calling is worldwide, not regional, and most of those prophetic words don't have meaning for the Pacific Northwest in specific.

This word, from Rick Joyner, an apostle and prophet from the East coast, is not about the Northwest either. But when I read the word, my spirit lit up. Rick is speaking to the very issues that Cal Pierce and I and several other local voices have been describing recently.

Furthermore, the Pacific Northwest is a profoundly prophetic community. In the midst of this article, Rick appears to stand in his office as an apostle to the nation and to much of the world, and speak destiny to the prophets in his realm of influence. This, too, has real significance to our region. Hear what the Spirit is saying to your region.

The world is now in the Valley of Decision. The consequences of every decision will be magnified and a little turn can lead to strikingly different destinations. This kind of repercussion for our choices has not been seen since the Garden. This is because the world is getting very close to becoming the Garden again – the Kingdom of God is at hand.
Because of this, it will be the time of the greatest darkness for those who do not love the truth, but the time of the greatest glory for those who do. The response to this by those who do not have true faith will be to think negatively about the Valley of Decision, becoming fearful and timid. For those who have faith, the reverse is true. This is the greatest opportunity of all, when our positive choices will do far greater good. Even a small decision to do what is right in the sight of the Lord could spark a great revival. A subtle turning in the direction toward the Lord by a nation can begin a Great Awakening.
We have examples of this in history. When a humble, black housemaid named Rosa Parks stood on her convictions and refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man, it sparked the Civil Rights Movement that changed a nation. Who could have foreseen such consequences from this one little action? Such is the result of it being "the fullness of time" for civil rights in America to include all of its citizens. As we see in even the Old Testament prophets, the Lord deals with nations concerning righteousness and justice. The wood had become so dry for the Civil Rights Movement in America that even a tiny spark could set it ablaze.
One of the great factors making this time so opportune is that it is so dry spiritually. Just a little spark and a little breeze from the Holy Spirit and great fires of revival will begin blazing. Those who complain about the dryness of the times do not have vision. We have come to the time when even a seemingly insignificant prophetic word from an unknown prophet can set worldwide events in motion. The fullness of time means the times are full of potential. We should be rejoicing that it has become so dry!
The harvest that Jesus said would be the end of this age is "the fullness of time," for many such sparks will ignite many revivalsOnce ignited, these fires will spread even faster because of the drynessSome will ignite before the end of this year, and next year there will be many more.
There also will be magnified consequences to evil choices. The harvest is when all of the seeds, both the wheat and the tares, come to full maturity. This is why we see in Isaiah 60 that when darkness is covering the earth and deep darkness the people, the glory of the Lord will be revealed in His people. We are entering the ultimate battle between light and darkness, between good and evil. After this conflict, all will be able to see clearly what both good and evil are. Now we are in a time when many are calling good evil and evil good, honoring the dishonorable and dishonoring the honorable, but that will change. This is only exposing the wheat from the tares. As we see in the Gospels, the tares are the first to be plucked out of the earth, and that time is coming.
In Isaiah 60:3, we see that the result of this clash between light and darkness will be that the whole world will come to the light. Ultimately, the light is going to win every confrontation with evil. Even a small light can be seen much farther in great darkness. Light is going to prevail, regardless of what it may look like for a time. Now is the time to choose the light and resolve that we will only walk in the way of the light. Now is the time to let our light shine boldly.
Now is the time to establish in our hearts that evil is what God says it is, not man, and good is what God says it is, not man. Those who do not speak according to the Word of God do not have the light, and they are not of the light but are in darkness. Now is the time when all are in the Valley of Decision, determining who they will follow.
Seize the Day
Great people are rarely recognized on earth in their own times, but only after they have passed and are no longer a threat. Then the living will lament, having not appreciated them more or listened to them better. The same is often true of great times and great opportunities. Only a few have the vision to see them early. The source of the greatness of the great ones is that they see and understand their times, and they seize the opportunity. Now is the greatest time there has ever been to walk with God, to stand for His truth, and to preach His Gospel. Now the consequences, the fruit, will be magnified.
Great spiritual movements are often referred to as waves of the Holy Spirit because they move like waves of the ocean. To ride a wave requires balance and skill, but those would not matter if one did not also have the ability to discern where the wave is going to break and get into position at the right place and time. Even then, the wave rider cannot be idle but must be moving in the right direction when the wave comes.
One reason so many Christians have been repositioned in recent times is because the Holy Spirit is helping them get into position to catch the spiritual waves they are called to ride. There is a great wave of the Holy Spirit that is about to move across the entire earth, but it is still crucial for every individual to be in the place that they have been called.
The Holy Spirit is omnipresent, so we may think that it does not make a difference if we are in a specific location, but it can make all the difference in the world for us. The Lord Jesus appeared to more than five hundred people after His resurrection, and He instructed them to go and wait for the promise of the Father in Jerusalem. Three hundred and eighty did not wait long enough and missed the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Hopefully those who were of the three hundred eighty received this promise later through the Church, but we do not know for sure. Certainly the Lord is gracious, but as the Apostle Paul warned, we must behold both His kindness and His severity. God resists the proud, and it is the pride that caused the fall in the first place, which has us thinking we do not need to obey the Lord, but rather we can attain by our own means.
We are told in Hebrews 6:12 to be imitators of those who through "faith and patience inherit the promises." Waiting forty days in Jerusalem did require patience, and it sifted out those who did not have it. Impatience is not a fruit of the Spirit, and those who are led by their impatience will not be led by the Spirit. Three hundred and eighty did not fully obey the Lord, and they missed Him on the Day of Pentecost. Being in the right place is one of the telltale signs that we live our lives in obedience to the Lord. He told us not to call Him "Lord" if we do not do what He says. Only those who follow Him, obeying Him as Lord, will be in the right place at the right time to receive what is promised.
Impatience is a main reason why some never receive their promises.Another reason why opportunities, great movements, and visitations of the Lord are missed by so many is that their vision is clouded by the affairs of everyday life. Few are able to pull themselves away from the clamor of their lives to climb up to a place of vision where they can see with His eyes. This is why the Lord rebuked those who could perceive the signs of impending weather better than the signs of the times. The weather affected their everyday lives, and this is what they had most of their attention on. To discern the purposes of the Lord, they have to be our main focus. We must truly "seek first the Kingdom" in order to see its coming.
The "Sons of Issachar"
When the strength of King David's forces was recorded in I Chronicles 12:32, we have a unique and remarkable group listed: "Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do." For many years, I prayed for the Lord to raise up those with these gifts for our times. I felt that this inability to know the timing of what we were seeing was one of the greatest weaknesses in the prophetic ministries today. I also knew that in the times to come, this ability would be crucial. Seven years ago, I was shown that such last-day "sons of Issachar" would be raised up, and they would receive this anointing the way that the sons of Issachar did, which is recorded in Genesis 49:14-15:
"Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the sheepfolds.
"When he saw that a resting place was good and that the land was pleasant, he bowed his shoulder to bear burdens, and became a slave at forced labor."
In prophetic symbolism, the shoulder represents authority because "the government will rest upon His shoulders." I was given an invitation to pursue this anointing and shown how to do it. I would have to lay aside growing in authority and influence with people, and instead become a slave and do what others did not want to do. I would have to go through a second seven-year period when I would be given very little prophetic revelation, but instead I would be given hard labor to do. I would have to leave the high place I had in the mountains and go back into the valley to the city to embrace hard labor. I think it was the hardest thing I have ever done, and I had the choice, but I also had the promise that it would be worth it.
One of my assignments was to begin restoring the Heritage USA property. This property had brought reproach upon the entire Body of Christ, and we would have to bear this reproach to be associated with it. At that time, this property had been vacant for seven years and looked like it had deteriorated beyond where it could be restored. However, I was shown that one day this property would be a worldwide testimony of God's power of redemption. It has not fully become this yet, but we have made progress, and it will become a marvel to the world in due time.
The work has been hard, and the reproach we've had to take on at times has been hard, but it has been worth it. Now it is the most wonderful home we could have ever dreamed of having for our ministry. The best part was being joined by so many noble souls who had the vision for this and were willing to work or contribute to it.
I am not claiming that the sacrifice I made to come down out of the mountains was that great. It has been hard at times, but there has also been too much joy for me to think of it as a sacrifice. In truth, there is no greater freedom than we can ever know than to be Christ's slave. Even the "hard labor" in Christ leads to rest and refreshing when we take His yoke. It is always better to choose the highest purpose. So, I am not claiming to have done anything that hard or great, but rather the results have been greater for me.
Then, I was instructed to help restore people that no one else wanted to restore. To do this we would also have to bear reproach and attacks just like Nehemiah did when he sought to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem. However, people are more important than buildings, and even though this would hurt my reputation, to receive the authority with God requires that we, like Him, are willing to "become of no reputation." Even so, there is possibly no greater way to gain the favor of God than to help His people whom no one else wants to help. The favor of God is far better than our reputation with men.
The Dream of Favor
In 1989, I was given a dream in which one of my children had fallen into a sewage ditch and could not get up. A large crowd gathered around my child just to ridicule and scorn as he struggled in that terrible filth. As a father, my grief was unbearable, but in the dream I could do nothing. Then a man pushed through the crowd, reached down and helped my child up, got him clean, and on his way again. My appreciation for this man was unlimited. If I could have given him all that I owned, it would not have been enough. Then I heard the voice of the Lord in my dream saying, "Jim Bakker is My child. Will you help him?"
At that time, Jim Bakker was possibly the most scorned and ridiculed person on the planet. I knew the Father felt just like I did watching my child struggle while people scorned and ridiculed him. Even though I was dreaming, I think this was the worst feeling I have ever had. When I woke up, I knew that to relieve the Father of what He was feeling for Jim Bakker was worth any price I had to pay. I also had it implanted in my spirit that there is no greater way to gain the favor of God than to help His children who no one else wants to help.
Since then, I have considered it a mandate to help Jim in any way that I can. I also think it is one of the great opportunities to help any of His children that I can who have fallen. Still, I can't help them all, but only the ones He shows me. I count this as one of the most important things I can do.
I do not mean to imply that this is something I am very good at. I often think I may be the worst one at this, and that the Lord's people deserve someone who can do it much better, but I do think it is the greatest honor I can have and do try my best. If I was to leave this life today, I would consider that I have already been rewarded many times over what I deserved for the little I did give. I am sharing this now for your sake. If you want to gain the Father's favor, help His people. If you want to receive the greatest favor, help those no one else is willing to help. The more unpopular it is to help them, or the harder it is, the more of His favor you will receive. As Tommy Tenney once said to us, "One moment of the favor of God is worth a lifetime of effort." This is true.
It may be the greatest wisdom to help God's people who are struggling, but even if we were to receive nothing, the Father deserves this. When the world rebelled against Him, He did not condemn us, but sent His own Son to redeem and restore us, even when we were still in our sin. Those who have His heart, who are truly spiritual, are like Him, always looking to restore (see Galatians 6:1), not condemn. When He walked the earth, consider how much patience He had with sinners and how little patience He had with the self-righteous.
Restoring was the main labor I was called to do to receive the "sons of Issachar" anointing. I am sure others have been called to pursue this too, because there will be a great company with this gift in the coming times. Their call to hard labor may have been different than mine, but I do know that most had to bear great hardship and reproach, going through a long period of being humbled and made "of no reputation." That will be a hallmark of the true leaders who are to come.
As the Apostle Paul spoke of how the apostles were considered to be the "dregs of the earth," this is a hallmark for the true apostolic ministry God is about to release. They may not be very well-known on earth, but they will be very well-known in Heaven. Many who are considered the dregs of the earth are kings and princes in Heaven. When the Kingdom comes, those who have been lifted up here will be humbled, and those who have embraced humility here will be lifted up.
Many people write to tell me how sorry they are for all of the attacks that I receive. I appreciate their concern, but this is actually a part of my reward. We get more "martyr points" when we receive reproach for doing the will of God. After the apostles had been beaten and threatened for doing what they were called to do, they went out rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for the sake of the Lord. They understood the true riches of the Kingdom. This is why it was said of Moses:
"By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward" (Hebrews 11:24-26).
Consider how Moses chose affliction rather than pleasure and considered the reproach of Christ greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt. Moses could see, and as we are told in the next verse, "he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen" (Hebrews 11:27). Do we see? Can we see what others cannot see? Those who see, like Elisha, can have an entire army coming after them and sit in perfect peace because they can see that those who are with us are much greater than those who are against us. This vision is available to us now.
Those who see the true treasures of the Kingdom know that all of the treasures in this world are not worth as much as a single grain of sand in the Kingdom. When we see, we will feel like the Apostle Paul – that all of the things we may have given up here are but rubbish. The favor of the Lord that we have experienced has already been much more than I could have ever dreamed, and much more of His favor is coming. His generosity knows no bounds, and He rewards many times over what we ever deserve.
A Clear Trumpet Sound
I do not mean to boast, but even if I am, I am doing it for a purpose. From 1980 to 1987, I went through a seven-year period where I received almost no prophetic revelation, but at the end of this, I received a two-and-a-half-day prophetic experience that was the greatest revelation I had ever received. It became a trumpet call heard throughout the world when a brief of it was circulated as, "A Vision of the Harvest." When I completed the book on this revelation, The Harvest, it became a #1 best-seller in many nations and remains one of our top distributors twenty-five years later. It has proven true.
Most of what I was shown in that vision has now come to pass, but the biggest and most important event in that vision is still to come – the harvest that is the end of the age. I was shown two waves that composed this harvest, both of which would be the biggest the world had ever seen, but the second was far more so than the first. The first wave began just a couple of years after I had the vision and lasted for more than a dozen years. It was estimated that more people came to Christ during that move than had come to Him from the original Day of Pentecost until that time. Whole nations were transformed, and at its peak, it was estimated that as many as 475,000 people a day were coming to the Lord around the world. However, it virtually missed North America and Western Europe. Now our time has come.
I was shown a time of relative spiritual quiet between this first wave and a much bigger one that was coming after it. This quiet time would last a few years, and we needed to use it to prepare the laborers for the coming much greater ingathering that would mark the end of this age. Last year I began to receive warnings that this great wave would soon be upon us, and that we were not ready. We had not used this time wisely to get ready for the next wave.
I was shown that this next wave would come like a tsunami. When a tsunami approaches, the ocean waters recede. I was shown that it would look like Christianity was in retreat around the world just before the greatest move of all time broke upon the earth. I was told that when we see this happening, we must not chase after the sea, the people, but we must get to the high ground. That "high ground" is to be seated with Christ in the heavenly places, not just doctrinally, but in reality united with Him and His authority. I will have more to say about this momentarily.
After the first seven-year period ended and I received the vision of the harvest, it seemed to open a floodgate of prophetic revelation for me that just kept getting better. Then I was given the promise of the "sons of Issachar" anointing and began another seven-year period of almost no prophetic revelation. I am now within weeks of the end of this second seven-year period. In July, I was given a foretaste of what is coming in a series of dreams. In some ways, these were the most exciting dreams I have ever had. I was also told that after the first seven-year prophetic wilderness I went through, I was given a vision of the harvest, but after this one, I would see the harvest itself – the fulfillment of the vision.
I was also given some insight into the kind of authority that would be released to those who had made it to the high ground, to be seated with Christ in the heavenly places. This high ground was also the top of the mountain that I had been shown before and wrote about in my book, The Final Quest. Unprecedented authority is about to be given to those who have been faithful and obedient.
The following are just a few things we can expect just from the prophetic ministry:
– Prophets will be raised up who will have a permanent place in the presence of the Lord and access to all of His plans and secrets.
– Prophets will be raised up to do exploits that eclipse anything done under the Old Testament prophets, including Moses and Elijah.
– This was to demonstrate that the New Covenant really is "a better covenant."
– Some will tell literal mountains to be plucked up and cast into the sea, and this will be done to prove that the Lord's Word is true.
– Some will be used to unravel a thousand years of the enemy's strategy and dominance over a nation, which they will do with a single prophetic word, setting multitudes free in a day.
– Some will have authority over all natural laws such as gravity, time, space, and mass, demonstrating the authority of the Kingdom of Heaven over all earthly authority.
– This would even make the Jews jealous so that they would pursue the Lord like they had not done since they were in Egypt.
– There will be companies of prophets that no enemy can hide their plans or their secrets from, and these will constantly thwart the attacks of the enemy and those who serve him.
– There will not be a major event that happens on the earth that God's prophets do not foresee.
– There will be companies of "sons of Issachar" who know the timing of coming events and have words of wisdom about what God's people are to do to be prepared for them.
– The counsel of these "sons of Issachar" will be sought by the most influential of this world, but it will be more important for them to serve the least of God's people than the mighty of this world. They will help leaders of this present age, but their main devotion will be to the future leaders of the coming Kingdom.
– Some of God's people will be given authority over every disease and affliction of man.
– Food and other resources being multiplied will become a common occurrence.
– Counsels between God's people and angels will be common and expected.
– Every great thing in Scripture was but the seed of what we will now see as a harvest. Even the first century Church was but a seed of what the Church will become.
– The Lord Himself will be so close to His people that He will be loved far above any gift or power by His people.
I have witnessed many great things in the Lord, but what I saw in these dreams was greater than what I had ever imagined that we would see on the earth. The "greater works" that the Lord said would be done in His name are much greater than I had ever considered. I should have known – the Lord always exceeds what we can ask or think. We are heading into the most exciting times there has ever been to walk with God.
Hear the Call of the Trumpet
The Lord has saved His best wine for last. The greatest move of God that has ever come upon the earth is very close. For those who have given up much to pursue the purposes of the Lord, now their reward is near.
Others have been distracted during the dry times. Like the remnant who returned to rebuild the temple of the Lord, after the foundation was laid, they got discouraged and went off to build their own houses. Like Haggai and Zechariah, prophets will arise to call them back to the work, and the work on the house of the Lord will be finished. Even many who have fallen away from the faith will come back.
In James 3:2 we are told that "we all stumble in many ways." There has only been One who has not fallen to sin. In Galatians 6:7 we are told, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap." If we want to receive mercy, we need to sow mercy every chance we get. If we want to receive grace, we need to sow it every chance we get.
Proverbs 24:16 says, "A righteous man falls seven times, and rises again."Our falls do not displease Him as much as our getting back up and pressing on pleases Him. This is not to imply that our falling pleases Him – it does not. However, He knows that the faith it takes to get back up and continue on after a fall can be the greatest faith, and faith pleases Him.
Many have fallen in the same way that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob fell. When it got dry, they left the land they had been promised and turned to Egypt for their sustenance. It ultimately led to the bondage of their whole family. God let this happen so that they could taste the pain of their bondage and be willing to pay the price to pursue His promises. When they cried to Him, He delivered them. Regardless of what you have gotten yourself into, He will deliver you if you will call upon Him.
Israel's deliverance was not easy because it took much longer to get the Egypt out of them than it did to get them out of Egypt. Even so, He brought them into their Promised Land, and He will bring us into ours. If you are alive today, you were called to serve the Lord in the greatest move of God that has ever been upon the earthGet free and get in your place.
The last few years have been exceedingly dry prophetically for many of God's people. Because He has not said as much to us does not mean that He has not been close to us. Even so, this spiritual dryness caused many to turn away from their purpose and become occupied with other things to seek fulfillment. For those who remained faithful, doing the work they were called to, the reward will soon come, and it will be great. For those who drifted, have the wisdom of the prodigal. For those who did not drift, but remained faithful, let us not become like the older brother, but rejoice at the return of the prodigals for the sake of the joy our Father has in this.
We are entering the fullness of times. The Kingdom of God is at hand.
