The Joseph Anointing

2013 will be a year the Church begins to experience the release of a Joseph Anointing. This Joseph Anointing will be like the story recorded in Genesis when God called Joseph from a pit to a palace to help Israel and the surrounding nations survive a coming season of famine. God is releasing this anointing upon his people so we can become a supernatural blessing of wisdom and resource for the nations of the world.

Joseph was a pivotal figure in the history of Israel.  God called Joseph to stand in the gap for Israel between desolation and their future destiny. Joseph came to this position bringing nothing with him.  He was thrown into a pit and left for dead. He was then taken out of the pit and sold into slavery by the very people who should have loved him – his brothers. After being falsely accused of a sexual assault, he was put in prison and stayed there until God raised him up to a place of prominence and authority as second in command to Pharaoh.  Through all the heartache and hardship he experienced, God never abandoned Joseph.

In the Book of Genesis, where the events of Joseph’s life are recorded, I noticed three components of his anointing – Dream Interpretation, Apostolic Administration and Reconciliation. These components can function through a single person or they can be released through a group of believers functioning with a common vision.

The Strategic Placement of Dream Interpreters

Dream interpreters will rise in prominence in this anointing.  Both in prison and in the courts of Pharaoh, it was Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams that gave him audience with those in authority. Some of the people who will have these dreams hold positions of governmental authority and others work in the highest levels of the corporate world where normal routes of access to them are restricted.   The dreams of these individuals, and their need to understand them, will become the bridge that connects these dreamers with those gifted with God’s interpretation of dreams.

The Rise of Apostolic Administration

There will be a release and recognition of the supernatural aspect of the administrative gift.  Some see the gift of administration in a lesser light than God intends it to be seen. There will be a rising up of Administrative Apostles.

In Potiphar’s house, in prison, and before Pharaoh, the administrative gift in Joseph was the gift God used to release his blessing to the nations.  The detailed administrative plan Joseph shared with Pharaoh became God’s supernatural provision and solution to Pharaoh’s dream.  It provided the structure that the nation of Egypt and the surrounding nations needed to survive during a famine.

Reconciliation of Nations through Families

After experiencing deep personal pain and rejection, Joseph was willing to make a way for his family to survive the famine. He did not allow his painful personal history to be a roadblock to what God desired to do in his family and as a result the nation of Israel was spared from starvation.

The provision of physical needs was a vehicle God used to bring restoration and reconciliation to Joseph’s family and to Israel.  Joseph’s anointing was able to flow because he was willing to reconcile with those who had wronged him.

One of the greatest hindrances to the moving of God’s Spirit in the midst of God’s people is the unwillingness to release an offense.  Reconcilers take practical and tangible steps towards reconciliation no matter what the cost.
Reconcilers initiate plans for healing and restoration.

Joseph wept as he reconciled with his family - this is the heart of a reconciler. Behind each act of familial reconciliation there stands a city or a nation waiting to be set free.  Israel and the surrounding nations endured a severe famine because one man was willing to reconcile with those who had wronged him.

As the Lord processed this word and the coming year with me, he went on to reveal how this anointing would function:

As I chose to record the works of my servant Joseph in a book about new beginnings, so my Presence in you will become a place to birth a new beginning. This anointing will bring a Genesis experience to my Church.

I am forming in you a place of supernatural provision.  I have put my Presence in you to become a silo of abundance resembling a farmer’s silo that stores grain for a future planting.  Like Joseph, you will come to this place of provision bringing nothing with you, except my Presence. It will be from the depths of my Presence in you that I will draw out this blessing for the nations.

This anointing will not be a work of addition, but of supernatural multiplication. I will birth this in you like I did when I multiplied the loaves and fish that fed thousands. My provision will flow from what appears to the natural eye to be a place of nothingness. It will become a miraculous provision that will surprise not only those who receive it, but it will surprise my people. You will say, ‘Where did this come from? How did abundance come from nothing?’

I will draw the nations to you as I did to Joseph when I repositioned him in Egypt. They will come for a survival provision, but I have more planned than just their survival.  I will use you to bring them into their destiny.

The Joseph Anointing will turn a famine into a feast; a lack into a gain and a set back into a leap forward.  The nations will see that I am in your midst.  Set the tables – a feast of provision is coming.”

Finally, the trials and issues you have faced in your life have been used by God to position you for the greatest impact.  As Joseph spoke to his brothers, the Lord will also speak through you to those who have stood against you in the past.  As you are anointed and released you will be able to say, like Joseph,  “God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. So it was God who sent me here, not you!” Genesis 45: 7-8

Bob Jones on 2013: Decision & Commitment

This is the year to make a decision and commitment! The decision brings us to commitment so we can commit our entire life this year. Then we will serve God and obey the written word and the Holy Spirit in the way He directs our lives. When we make this commitment to God we will see the faithfulness of (Isaiah 11:5.)
And righteousness shall be the girdle of His waist and faithfulness the girdle of His loins. (Isaiah 11:5)
Through obedience to the written word we learn righteousness; right standing with God. By developing relationship with God we take on the divine nature of Christ and sanctify the imagination (thoughts). When we surrender our soul to our spirit we allow the spirit within us to rule over the soul.
And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose, and action). (Rom. 6:18)
In this way our thoughts, purpose and action will be committed to God’s will. And being led by the Holy Spirit of Truth, Who leads us into all truth; we walk the highway of holiness. Then our entire bodily members will be in complete obedience to the Holy Spirit because we are obedient to the law of Love. (Rom. 13:10) It’s from the place of mature love the greater works flow. Then what is seen in our sanctified imagination we speak according to the will of the Father bringing “on earth as it is in Heaven” into the natural realm.
Christ was obedient unto His death on the cross. Christ was separated from the Father when He cried out “My Father, My Father why have You forsaken Me?” When Christ became the atoning sacrifice for man’s sin, the Father could not look upon Him. Therefore, obedience is greater than sacrifice. Christ yielded all His bodily members to the Father so we could become the righteousness of God through His Son. Jesus lived His earthly life totally committed to the Father’s will. Therefore the Father’s will was being done on earth as it was in Heaven. For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son. This was the Father’s greatest act of love, giving His Son to mankind. (John 3:16)
It is in the DNA of every Christian to hear the voice of God and be led by His Holy Spirit. John 10:4 says His sheep hear His voice and follow after Him. His sheep commit to follow Him because they know the voice of the Good Shepherd. We must follow His voice and be totally obedient to what He tells us to do. Obedience leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to sanctification. Sanctification is the beginning of holiness and holiness is the beginning of the greater works. The greater works begin with unconditional love toward one another.
And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. (Luke 10:27)
God is calling for us to conform to His way with all of our natural being; heart, soul, strength and mind. We are being called to walk the straight and narrow way, the road less traveled or perhaps better known as the highway of holiness. We must surrender to Him the dictates of our own heart in order to walk according to His will.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8)
When we make the decision to walk the way of righteousness and arm ourselves in commitment, we begin to walk in sanctification. Sanctification is the belt of truth we put around our waist and commit our mind, will and emotions to God in thought, purpose and action.
Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God. (Eph 6:14)
You shall know the truth and it will set you free. The truth we gird our mind with is His Word. His word will always tell us what to do. The real thing that we commit our self to is love.
Love does no wrong to one’s neighbor [it never hurts anybody]. Therefore love meets all the requirements and is the fulfilling of the Law. (Rom 13:10)

This is the word for 2013; make a decision for Christ that you’re going to walk in righteousness. And make for yourself a commitment to obey the works of righteousness which is our thought purpose and action. We live with the consequences of decisions we make whether good or bad. Let’s choose to make God the Master of our life and let Christ ride in the saddle of our mind. Let us commit ourselves completely to Him this year! That which we have committed to God He is faithful to commit to us. Once we have made the decision to commit our whole being unto God and come into His righteousness, we must not stray from it.
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. (2Timothy 1:12)

Joan Hunter on 2013

What an exciting year 2012 was. We saw so many miracles in so many areas. Body, mind, soul, spirit and finances. God released healing in all those areas all throughout the Body of Christ.

I feel very strongly that 2013 is going to be even more powerful and exciting for the Body of Christ. As we move from the year 2012 - the year of alignment, government, ruling and reigning, taking back what the enemy has stolen... it is time to move on into the New Year and see what God has for us.

This is going to be a year of greater HARVEST. Harvesting on what we have seeded for over the years. There is going to be a greater outpouring of power and anointing than ever before. It is going to be a year of the GREAT transference of wealth. God is opening up the windows of heaven to pour out blessings to fund ALL that He has asked us to do.

This next year is going to better than the former... like as in 12 cookies: we get a baker’s dozen (13), He is throwing in some extra for us. More than enough. Abundantly, above all that we could ask, dream or imagine. (That is a lot in my book!)

The world looks at 13 as unlucky. There is no row 13 on planes, elevators, Friday the 13th. etc... The number itself stands for unlucky, devastation, destruction, confusion and many other negative things. This is what the world is looking at.

Let’s look at what God says about the number 13. The best example is I Corinthians 13. That is the chapter on love. God is going to pour out his love on us in 2013. This is going to be a year of restoration. Restoring us to our first love of Him first...then others. He is going to restore families, estranged children, lost children and relatives. This is a time of them coming into to the Kingdom faster than we could ever fathom.

This is a year of those who have prayed for God to send a mate, this is the year of that prayer being answered. This is the year for those who have been unable to conceive, they will bring forth children.

This is the year of the “can’ts” being made “cans.” This is the year that if the doctor gives people no hope, God does and people will be completely healed. Limbs, and eyes will be restored and any other body part that is needed will be made manifest in bodies.

This is a time of reaching out to God like never before to have a true intimate relationship with Him. Getting down to business. A season to spend more time with Him, more time in the Word, making places in our homes for devoted and private time with Him.

This is a time of experiencing things with God like never before. Many of them will be unique experiences. Not based on what others have written about, it will be a whole new realm. It will be so unbelievable, that when it is shared, few will believe.

Remember you need to line up with the WORD, not the WORLD!
Everything we put our hand to do shall prosper!!! (Deuteronomy 30:9 The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce.)

The blessings of God are running and overtaking us!!! (Deuteronomy 28:2 “…And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God”)

God giving you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”)
Here’s one of my favorites. Ephesians 2:7 “And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus.”

I want God to point to me as an example of His favor kindness and wealth in ALL He has done for me. Let Him point to you. We are going to be a sign and a wonder to all around.

Our future!!! Jeremiah 29:11- 13 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

(Declare and Decree these over yourself daily).
I look forward to all He has for us in this new and exciting year ahead.
