The Current Shaking

I live in a small historic gold rush town. The buildings that line our downtown were constructed in the mid-1800s. The construction materials of choice were brick and mortar.

While they look strong, if an earthquake takes place the mortar will weaken releasing their hold on the bricks and our cherished history will lay in piles of rubble at our feet. The last significant earthquake in the region happened over 300 years ago. Our downtown was built without that consideration.

In the natural world, prolonged shaking during an earthquake is what produces damage. Once the shaking is over it leaves behind damaged buildings and infrastructures, people are injured or killed and entire regions are left in disarray and ruin.

In God’s kingdom shaking has another purpose. It disassembles the weak things where we mistakenly placed our trust apart from God. After this season of shaking is over, we will have an opportunity to work in concert with the Spirit to construct new and lasting spiritual structures able to endure the trauma that always comes with living on the fault lines of an unstable world.

So much is shaking in our world. We are currently living through a prolonged social quake. God is allowing this shaking to take place to disempower those things not worthy of our trust. Misplaced trust is like the mortar between bricks. It will crumble under the influence of intense shaking.

Every spiritual shaking throughout the history of the Church has caused us to reevaluate where we have placed our trust. Any rebuilding process we engage in will hopefully consider that issue. Everything around us can fall to the ground but our hope will always be secure if we have placed our trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone.

The Lord experienced an earthquake when the stone was rolled away from the entrance to His tomb. “Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it” (Matthew 28:2).

Resurrection followed that shaking 2,000 years ago and it will follow the shaking we are now experiencing. A season of shaking will always carry with it the promise of resurrection and reconstruction if our hope has been placed in the faithfulness and goodness of God.

A Season of Bumbling Around

One of the things that I do is I look at the seasons, the “big picture” view of what’s going on in the Spirit.

This is an interesting one.  I call it the Season of Muddling Around. My brother Craig refers to “fuzzy-fog of not-quite-sure-what's-next.”

It’s a season where God doesn’t seem to be giving as much direction as he has in other seasons. You may experience it as “OK, what do we do next” in your home group or your church gathering. Or you may be having a hard time finding clarity in life choices or in addressing perplexing situations.

Paul went through a similar season. In Acts 16, Paul and his traveling ministry team finished one project, and had trouble finding the next one. They were “kept by the Holy Spirit” from ministering in Asia, and “the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them” to minister in Bithynia. This was a challenging transition season for him.

What’s this? The Holy Spirit is preventing them from preaching the gospel? That’s the Great Commission; God can’t be stopping them from obeying what they’re called to do! Yep, that’s what it says.

It seems like a number of believers are experiencing this sort of thing: just trying to do the thing that God has called you to do, but God’s not blessing it, God’s presence isn’t in it, or he stops you before you ever get started.

So a lot of us are in a season of “bumbling around.” We’re trying this new thing, or that tried-and-true thing, and it’s not working. It’s easy to get frustrated in this season.

If you’re feeling some of this, let me say a couple of things to you:

  1. No, there’s not something wrong. God does different things, or does the same things in different ways, in different seasons. This is that season. This isn’t because of sin, or because you’ve “missed God.” Remember, this is a transition period. It’s temporary.

  1. This is actually a season of promotion. You’ve been maturing, growing up. You don’t need as much direction from Daddy as you used to need. You can make more decisions for yourself and for your place in the Kingdom. Think of this as a season of taking new “baby steps” and learning to walk as mature sons and daughters.

  1. Of course we stay plugged in with God, we stay intimate and connected, eyes on Jesus and ready to hear. Paul eventually had a dream that told him where to go, and it led to a surprising new ministry.  The end result of his transition was pretty awesome.

  1. Don’t be shocked if God leads you in a surprising new direction. Don’t freak out if he takes you in an entirely new and unexpected direction. Likewise, don’t choke if he takes you in the direction you expected, but it turns out to be completely different than the way you thought it would be, or than it has ever been before.

  1. In the meantime, keep doing what you’re doing, and keep your ears open. Stay in healthy relationship with solid people, and keep talking together about what God is doing, what he’s saying.

  1. And stay ready to change gears, quickly if necessary.

So congratulations on the new place in God! Well done! Now, are you ready for the next step?

2014: Look Again. This is the Year of Psalm 67

Editor’s note: This is not a Pacific Northwest word, but it is a word for the Church, including the Pacific Northwest.

Going From a Retreating, Misery Christianity to a Hope-Filled, Reforming Christianity

I experienced a series of visitations in the past few weeks that revealed God’s jealous and hope-filled heart of love for His people and plan according to this passage:

“The LORD goes out like a mighty man, like a man of war He stirs up His zeal; He cries out, He shouts aloud, He shows Himself mighty against His foes” (Isaiah 42:13).

God has extensively spoken in past revelations that have laid the foundations for this understanding of God’s zeal to displace what has hurt His children. He has called it “misery Christianity” versus “a hope-filled Christianity.” By this second reformation He will activate and empower 50 million “Hope Reformers” to usher whole cities and nations into great blessings and manifestations of the Kingdom of God in every arena of life.

This is our first report of what the Lord said regarding a 2014 “word in season” with some context and comments added to aid the understanding.

The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary... Isaiah 50:4

Not the Spirit of Terror Year But the Psalm 67 Year

On a number of occasions, I have been taken in the Spirit into a “reformation room.” Situated within is a table of communion where the Lord reveals His manifold faces and nourishes us with the bread of His presence.

In this encounter I was seated at the corner of the table on the Lord’s right side. He strongly corrected us concerning speaking from areas where we were weary, wounded, disappointed, or Hear the clock ticking hopeless. The Lord said, “Stop it! Wait and listen again until you get the hope, the love, and see My solution.” He was in pain over this and desired to help us.

He said that 2014 is the year for Psalm 67:

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You! The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear Him!”

The Lord said that He will progressively reveal facets of His nature to us that will help us progress in His purposes this year and beyond.

• He said, “There is an epic battle presently raging over Who I am.”

As we continue to look up to Him (see Psalm 121), greater building wisdom and favor will allow us to discern His hopeful ways more clearly than ever before. The Lord linked this experience to the account of Moses praying to see His glory and to know His ways and presence in an ongoing fashion in Exodus 33.

“Now therefore, if I have found favor in Your sight, please show me now Your ways, that I may know You in order to find favor in Your sight...” Moses said, “Please show me Your glory.” And He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you My name ‘The LORD.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy [compassion] on whom I will show mercy [compassion].” Exodus 33:13, 18-19

They will bow their knees God spoke from Psalm 67 that He is going to open up His face and His ways so that He will be seen and known, not only among His people, but also among whole cities, and even nations, that will open their gates to Him. I saw specific nations invite Him, with His gifts and building plan, into their cities. These cities will become radiant with joy and pulsate with the presence of God. They will receive and enjoy many breakthroughs in every area of life. Jesus has also shown me how thrilled He truly is that these people and places are welcoming Him to bless and lead them.

• The Lord spoke, “Psalm 67 is the fifth scene.”

With this, the Spirit took me back, as He has many times, to one of my initial heavenly encounters in January of 1982 in Fort Collins, Colorado, when I was just newly converted. It was so dramatic! After being “taken up,” I saw four visions of earthly situations that were only filled with sorrow, tragedy, despair, and death. I was disrupted and deeply burdened by what God showed me. But, then I saw “The Fifth Scene”!

The first four scenes were real, but the fifth scene was the even greater reality. I saw the Lord high and lifted up like Isaiah did – even though I had never read the passage at that time. The Lord Almighty was higher than the sky and the brilliance of His indescribable presence filled my whole view. He was filled with joy, celebrating and, yes, belly laughing.

I was so perplexed by the contrast of the fifth scene to the first four I had witnessed. I asked Him, “Lord, what about all the terrible evils and human suffering you just showed me?” Then I saw a small dark dot enter the lower left corner of the vision. It floated up a ways and then suddenly disappeared. The Lord authoritatively announced, “That dot represents all the evil of all beings and of all history combined. It’s temporary and fleeting compared to Who I Am. So what are you going to magnify?”

The Lord is going to been seen as “The God of the Fifth Scene” or the “Psalm 67 God.”

• At the communion table He declared, “I Am God All Powerful”:

“Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness...” (Nehemiah 9:32).

• He said, “I am the celebrating, covenant-keeping, sovereign God, and I will bring forth radiant cities and nations of the earth.” (See our most recent Elijah List article.)

He is first offering to us “the Gift of Himself.” This hope reformation is all about a healed and expanded view of God, and what then happens is we feed and feed others on this deeper knowledge of God. This revelation caused me to weep for joy. Though we do truly know the Lord, and yet surely there are many, many things about Him that we have yet to discover.

He told me that we presently know 1% of the 100% of the knowledge of God that He wants to reveal to us in this life, not to even mention what the future age will reveal about Him. It’s not that the divine attributes revealed in Scripture will be contradicted by what we learn, but it’s that we so easily misunderstand and misjudge His great heart and His manifold wisdom and thoughts regarding the people and situations in our world.

As a result, we often unwittingly misrepresent the Lord to the people and the watching world around us. However, Jesus wants to be more accurately “re-presented” in our day by His sons and daughters to a needy and spiritually hungry world. Psalm 67 speaks of causing His face to shine upon us. And He is promising to help us if we humbly acknowledge our need to learn and grow.

Wrapped up in this Gift is a revelation of “The God of the Fifth Scene,” and also a “pattern” for our worship, and a “building kit” for our service. He will unfold to us a practical, stage-by-stage plan for the extension of His Kingdom like He did for Moses, Solomon, and Nehemiah. Psalm 67 speaks of the revelation of His ways. God will reveal a blueprint about specifically how He is seeking to dwell among us here and now, and how this union with Him will lead to a truly apostolic reformation that will eventually lead to the restoration of all things referred to by Peter in Acts 3:19-21.

Psalm 67 speaks to the nations singing for joy and salvation coming to the earth. As we unpack this Gift, we will also experience how divine hope will “heal and expand” our view of God, and our own hearts, too. (We will say more about these things in our coming reports, because Jesus has spoken important and hopeful details about them to us.)

• The Lord said, “I will progressively reveal 12 of My faces that will cause you to advance in My Hope Reformation. This is a year for the Issacharian Reformers to arise.”

“...Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do...” 1 Chronicles 12:32

• He also declared, “They will reflect Zechariah 10:3”:

“My anger is hot against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the LORD of hosts cares for His flock, the house of Judah, and will make them like His majestic steed in battle.

We will be transformed from “sheep” into “war horses.” The Lord instructed all of us to continue to sit at the table, and to keep watching and listening, so that we could see through the dark clouds. He said, “Wait, wait, wait for My Father’s hopeful view,” because He had more things yet to reveal to us...

A New Lens For a Hopeful Prophetic

At the very beginning of this visitation, the Lord held my face in His hands for two hours and repeatedly affirmed that He was delighted in me. I saw Him also holding the faces of others at the table. He kept saying, “I am delighted in all of you.” He kept imparting the essence of Zephaniah 3:17 to my heart...and to theirs...again and again:

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.”

It was so good that He did that because I didn’t know at the time how much I would need that deep and warm fatherly affirmation and delight to handle the rebuke over hopeless prophecy and speaking throughout my life.

As this divine encounter took on a more serious tone, He took a fiery coal and put it to my lips to purify my speech. He said this was needed so that I could blow the trumpet He has put to my mouth to faithfully declare His nature.

He then took me, and many others, on a journey through a number of scenarios in our histories where we spoke out of a wrong frame of spirit, heart, or mind. He showed me the damage and discouragement I had caused...even in relation to people I love the most. It was so painful and humbling to rehearse.

• The Lord said, “The words I have given you to speak are a ‘holy sacrament.’ Speaking ‘hopeless words of negation’ only serve to ‘resurrect’ the enemy that I have already ‘obliterated’ for you.”

He took me back to a very dramatic experience I had years ago when He powerfully defeated a terribly intimidating demonic spirit of negation and hopelessness that had tormented me. I witnessed the heat of this battle with my eyes wide open! When had He vanquished this demon by His mighty power, He asked me in an audible voice, “Whom do you fear now?”

Now, in this recent visit, He proclaimed again with strength, “I am your Victorious Warrior.” He said, “You have a choice to ‘resurrect’ this old enemy, but it is not My plan.” Then He showed me times when I had chosen to do this. Ugh!

• The Lord declared, “I intend to bring you into the goodness and blessing of Romans 5:17 so that you may reign in this life:

“‘For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.’“

God spoke He wants to raise us up as true Hope Reformers who partner with Him to “reign in life”...to prevail over the darkness and misery of this world and bring the hope of the true Gospel to the cities and nations of the earth that He so deeply loves. The Holy Spirit said, “God has ‘lifted you up’ out of the ‘miry clay’ of Psalm 40 so that you can ‘mount up on wings of eagles’ to declare Isaiah 40:31 – ‘the glory of the Lord’ that ‘shall be revealed’ and how ‘all flesh will see it together.’“

• The Lord was shouting, “Soar with Me. I want to take you to a place in Me where the enemy’s voice ceases.” I was aware that this era could become like the time of Solomon in which all of his adversaries were subdued on every side. Then He said, “Destruction is not My answer. I have a redemptive plan.”

The Honorable Prophetic

To help me understand an even fuller context for and properly steward the prophetic, the Spirit took me in a vision to the tent of Noah to observe the correct behavior of Shem.

Noah began to be a man of the soil, and he planted a vineyard. He drank of the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside. Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned backward, and they did not see their father’s nakedness. Genesis 9:20-23

Shem covered his father’s nakedness, and the Lord promised us, “I will cover your shame and nakedness with My mercy,” and He instructed me to make sure that I do the same for my prophetic comrades and the Body at large. He made me aware of the “seeds of superiority” that the enemy would try to sow within us. We were being called to be vigilant to speak from His heart and not allow this to happen. I would have to first embrace the Lord’s correction to me in order to be able to declare to others what He wants me to offer others as a spiritual father.

He instructed me to honor those who are speaking for the Lord for being fathers and mothers in the faith. They have accomplished many good and great things in and for His Kingdom through the years. However, the Lord is saying, “Stop it with the negative words that have not been filtered through a lens of a heart that has been healed by the power of hope.”

The Rebuke

Jesus is issuing a word of correction to many of His beloved leaders in the land. This also extends out to segments of the people of God in general, for as the prophets and leaders go, so go the people. It is a word for all, from the greatest to the least. I saw some dark and heavy clouds of trouble, despair and depression roll across the hearts and minds of God’s people and leaders in all the arenas of life...even more intensely over the last quarter of 2013. I had personally encountered this satanic opposition during these past few weeks, but Jesus kept insisting to keep watching for the breakthrough in the clouds.

Then He warned us all with a very firm, but still loving, tone:

• “Do not speak until I lift you up out of the miry clay, and put a new song in your mouths.” He also declared with intensity, “I do not use the enemy to spank My children!” He said, “I intend to turn the enemy’s assaults and attacks into opportunities for you to partner with Me to transform them into portals of hope.”

He spoke this passage:

“...I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt” (Hosea 2:15).

The Lord decreed,

• “You must continue to watch until you can see and speak from the silver lining, the hopeful place with My hopeful solutions, versus speaking from the dark clouds that release the dark humidity of doubt and despair. Indeed, I have already positioned and am empowering both My angel armies and My Hope Reformers to discern and apply these divine answers.”

• “I will raise you up above the clouds to see My heavenly perspective of these negative situations and challenges and turn them into opportunities to advance in amazing ways and bring reformation to cities and nations. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

• “Can you hear Me? I am giving you My blessing without reproach. Can you hear Me? Nehemiah did! I have a blueprint...a building kit...to birth the Kingdom Church...an apostolic reformation and the restoration of all things. Can you hear Me?”

The Lord said to stop being like Sanballat...a professional accuser...who twisted the truth by magnifying the challenge instead of magnifying the Lord. Like in the time of Nehemiah, the Lord is commanding us to be happy and rejoice with His plans to build and rebuild.

Questions And Answers: Then the Lord spoke to me about 2014 in response to my questions:

• “Civil war?” “No! Not to worry, hope peacemakers are rising up. Be praying for peace on all sides. Go forth and have fun. It is time to build.”

• “U.S. currency failure?” “No! Not to worry. I have some good plans. Therefore go and build.”

• “Protect ourselves to survive tribulations?” “No! I have you protected and covered like the cities in Goshen. Freedom is granted to live more generously than ever and bring reformation. Go, build and have fun!”

• “Need to hoard food?” “No! However, there will be a few various places where there will be need for food assistance, so be wise. Go and build, have fun, so that you can feed people. See your food multiply, and there will be supernatural and providential miracles in these days. I have My Hope Reformers ready to step in to help alleviate the hunger.”

The Lord continued on:

• The Lord said to all of us in a very kind but very firm tone, “Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it! Stop spreading this misery, this evil humidity that you have been spewing out that settles upon the mountains. If you cannot speak out of life, do not speak out of death. Look again from a better view, from My perspective. You are to get above the clouds. To fear Me is to see what I see.”

• “It is harming, confusing and wounding My people...it puts My cities and nations under a dark cloud. It is speaking out of your own wounds...or your warfare, or your weariness, or your sense of rejection, or your isolation, or your disappointments, or your despair. I am bringing a healing model and restoring My joy to all those who have suffered pain in this life, and it is beautiful.

• “Let Me tell you how to fight with hope and love.” (At this point He laughed and lightened the mood.) “Ask Me this, ‘What would it be like if My servants simply focused on hope and love until the very end? What kinds of amazing solutions would I bring into this world?’“

• The Lord said, “Let’s fight against this enemy together! I do not want both sweet and bitter waters to proceed from the same source. I do want to go with you! But follow Me with joy, love, hope, and adventure in your hearts. Band together and reveal to all ‘The God of the Fifth Scene’ and call them into the Hope Reformation...the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (See James 3:11; Daniel 11:32.)

The Hope Reformation Plan

• God said, “This is a Psalm 67 year.”

God is giving us a divine blueprint and a building plan. He is engineering a “new exodus” for God’s people to come out of “misery Christianity” into a hope-filled reformation. The Lord said,

• “I will release My people to leave the bondage and drudgery of religious agendas and traditions and the merely human expectations that require them all to just make brick after brick. I will commission them to go forth into all of life to worship Me in the beauty and wonder of the diversity I have created. They are to give back all their amazing gifts, talents, and daily works in the neighborhoods, streets, schools, and marketplaces as an acceptable offering to Me and I will then use them to glorify Me in all the earth.”

• The Lord said that we will see ourselves, our journey, and comprehend our story within the ancient story of Moses and the children of Israel.

I saw the Lord open up a hope-filled reformation blueprint where He magnifies Himself in supernatural and providential miracles this coming year. He will continue to trump evil with good and cause hope to be the anchor of our souls as we major on adoring Him well.

These Are No Longer Grounded Eagles

THESE ARE NO LONGER GROUNDED EAGLES, as in those who are not encouraged to soar in their gifts. These are the "grounded" eagles who are seasoned and established by the true heart of Father.

Back in 2007 when everyone was talking about the eagles arriving in the NW, I had a dream and Father took me to Jeremiah 8:7-8, speaking of the misuse of the law and that even the migratory birds knew when to be where they are called. That was the message Father used to move me out first to Washington State.

I BELIEVE HE IS CALLING THE EAGLES TO LAND. They are gathering as a prophetic picture of their release to the mantels and mandate they carry and must carry out. This is the beginning of their moment. In the past, many of the prophetic were "run off" or tied to the ground. We can no longer compromise the call by settling to hide in a cave (Adullam) for fear that we will lose our lives.

This is the moment we were created for. To "land" with others where we are called and to deliver by The Spirit what is in us to give. Those on the earth will not always hear what you are yelling from "above" in the secret place. Jesus descended to encounter humanity. He came to where we are. That is the heart of Father. We must land to release.

THERE SHOULD BE A GREAT CELEBRATION THAT THE PROPHETS ARE RETURNING TO THE LAND. Yes, they are called to soar, but remember there is a time to connect to the land as well. We see the ploys of the enemy from the high places and we must of course, travel and spend time there with The Father. This is where the "seer" gift works so effectively.

We must also gather together and take the land that is given us. I'm of course, speaking allegorically. Your land may be your bloodline, your business, your sphere of influence (friendship or relationships).

I had a dream recently, where I was standing in a snowy field and eagles were soaring directly above my head. These were not all mature large eagles. I believe that some still need to be established in their call. Every one of them was flying just above the ground. They were going to "land".

I reached up and touched one or two on the tip of their wings. This was such a joyous and incredible moment! I knew that we had been waiting for them to come and here they were, coming in for their landing!

As a prophetic people, let's not forget to get our heads out of the sky and be real, so that we speak practically and wisely into those on the ground

Fresh Wind for a Fresh Harvest

I am coming soon to breathe a fresh wind on the Northwest. Many have said “I’m tired of the same thing every week” and “I’m ready for something new.” I am breathing new life into the churches throughout the region, and a fresh wind of creativity will uplift spirits. Do not expect things to happen in the old ways, the ways that have worked before. I am doing a new thing, and I want to reveal my ways and my will in new and creative ways.

This will require questioning ideas and beliefs that you have assumed to be correct for a long time, and it will require grace and patience as you watch others struggling through belief systems and transitioning in understanding of my Grace. For my grace is boundless, and reaches far beyond what you have learned in Sunday School. I am doing a new thing and bringing a new paradigm to my people in this hour. This new paradigm shift will help position you for the billion soul harvest that you have been preparing for, and you will not quite be ready until you receive my thoughts and my ways. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are my thoughts above your thoughts, and my ways above your ways. Come up here and sit with me awhile, and I will share my thoughts and my ways with you, and I will give you blueprints of things to come.

I am preparing my bride to be spotless and pure, to be ready for all things in the days to come, and to be a shining light, burning brightly in the darkness that is ahead. And when I say darkness, do not fear death, calamity, or destruction. For the darkness I see most is the darkness in men’s hearts, darkness that hides my truth and seeks to keep mankind in bondage to the Law. See now that I have already set you free from the Law, and have brought about the new way of living by my Spirit. I am bringing a new revelation of the depths of what my Son purchased on the Cross, and am raising up a new generation of speakers who will share this revelation with My Church. I am not speaking in terms of ages, in that it will be a young generation of speakers I am raising up. No, I am speaking of a new generation of speakers from a perspective of the old having gone and the new having come. I am doing a new thing, and I am giving the revelation to a new group of people. I have had a people kept in hiddenness for this very time, those who have been hearing my voice and my leading in a new way.

Be aware that I am not saying that I am somehow a different God, but I AM saying that I am bringing new revelation and new understanding. Things that have been good in the past will no longer serve you as I bring about a new understanding that trumps the old. The old will simply be of no use or no value, in the same way that an old wineskin destroys new wine. You cannot expect to successfully mix the old wineskin and the new wine that I am bringing. For those who have been praying for the new wineskin, continue to diligently pray and diligently search. In the same way that my sheep know my voice, you will know the new when it comes before you, and you will know to follow my voice above the voices of all others.

When you hear my voice, do not turn aside from it and follow the wisdom of man. Many who have walked in my ways in the past, and whom I have genuinely given revelation to, will question my voice in this hour. You must follow my leading and not theirs, as I have said again that I am doing a NEW thing. It will not look like the things of the past, but it will look like my Son. Know that as long as you seek to know my Son and seek to hear My voice, I will not put the voice of Another in your path. I will lead you in paths of righteousness for My Name’s sake, and you will dwell in my house forever.

Persistent Prophetic Warfare

Comment: This is not your typical prophetic word. This is a prophet clarifying the work of the prophetic to which many of us here in the northwest are called. Understand the warfare that you are a part of, take appropriate action, and do not let anything stop you.

Persistent Prophetic Warfare

From my experience there are two “branches” of Persistent Prophetic Warfare. There is what the Persistent Prophet continually does to wage war against the forces of darkness. And, there is what the forces of darkness continually do to wage war against the Persistent Prophet.

Of course, this is also generally true for ANY Child Of God. All born-again believers WILL have to wage war against the forces of darkness – it is written – and WILL suffer backlash and setbacks from that effort – which is also written. There is NO escape. It is our collective reality – and God has made this struggle plain in His Word. From God’s point of view, we are clearly to expect – by faith –  that there will be victories, and we are also clearly warned that there will be struggle.

It was the same for Jesus Himself.

But I am writing about that particular subset of the overall battle called “Persistent Prophetic Warfare.” And more importantly, about the enemy’s objective and the tactics meant to bring Persistent Prophetic Warriors down.

The scriptural references that apply are legion, I know you know them, so I will be limited in using them and write more from my heart.

Let’s assume that if you are on my email “to” list [where this article was first published],  that I consider that you already know you have a Prophetic Call of some kind – whether it is the primary Call on your life – a complimentary or secondary Call – or you have intimate knowledge about or experience with those that do have a Prophetic Call. Let’s also assume that as “experienced” prophets we have already exhibited decades of proven experience – and have had ongoing struggle as we have “walked out our faith.”

We have been Persistent Prophetic Warriors.

The enemy is not stupid. When satan sees that you are being obedient and affective – especially long term – he will do whatever he needs to do to “take you out.” He will also be persistent. He will continue to attack your day job, those to whom you report to – like bosses or supervisors, your finances, family, friends, your prophetic “vision”, your health, etc. ...even your effort to continue on with life itself. Misunderstanding, rejection, weakness, shame, embarrassment, disappointment, doubt, fear, and sickness may be your “familiar reality.” You may even be called in front of legal authorities multiple times and find yourself having to repeatedly defend yourself for things you may or may not have actually done. Your family, friends, Christian friends, and co-workers may question you and turn away from you many times.

At points you may loose your prophetic vision too – as these things repeatedly rise up to overwhelm you – and not just in ones and twos – but multiple avenues of warfare coming against you over and over – and over long periods of time.

Effective Prophets sometimes fight on with few friends understanding what they are doing. Effective Prophets may feel the sting of isolation and wonder why they have so many victories, so little recognition, and so much struggle and discouragement. Prophets will know the Juniper Tree.

And, if Satan can’t destroy you, he will try to distract you.

He will try to separate you from your First Love – and divert you away from your Calling and mission.

He will try to keep you focused on material things: your money, house, cars, clothes, tools, other worldly possessions, and the struggle to get and maintain them. He will try to make work and your ministry overwhelm you: with diverted time, an appeal to selfishly excel, and constant dissatisfactions with procedures, policies, bosses and co-workers. He will try and disappoint you with your family and friends. At times they will be indifferent toward you, neglect you, and – as in my case – outright reject you. He will try and bring fear into your life through the personal, national and international issues we are all facing. He will attack your health, ability to rest, cause you to be dissatisfied with your own level of fitness – and anything or everything else about you. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Satan will use whatever he can to separate you from the Love of Jesus, the Voice and Power of the Holy Spirit, the Absolute Care of our Heavenly Father, and the CALL He Himself has placed on your life.

You will have Battle Fatigue.

You will have battle fatigue. Not much fun, huh?

Hardened combat soldiers – those who continue to wage effective war on the battlefield against the enemy – ARE going to be the enemy’s target.

Experienced Prophet warriors – those who continue to wage effective war against the forces of darkness and win – ARE going to be satan’s target.

Both are going to face exhaustion. Both are a great threat to the enemy – and the enemy is going to direct his resources toward the greatest threat.

There is that element of combat experience where the soldier and Prophet get to the point that life and death, victory and defeat don’t matter.

Continue the Fight.

What matters is continuing the fight. Because continuing the fight is right.

So, be careful to face up to the fact that you are in this thing – Persistent Prophetic Warfare – for the long haul – and that in a certain sense (understand this with godly wisdom) “you” don’t matter.

What matters is far greater than ourselves or any earthly kingdom. What matters is Jesus and the Kingdom of God – and that in the heat of battle you continue to recognize the enemy, continue keep your weapons aimed at him, and continue pulling the trigger.

If victory comes, which it most surely will, there will come a time when your Reward is made known.

Jesus Himself will not forget you – either in the fight or afterward.

The Holy Spirit will continue to empower you and be your Advocate – both in the fight and afterward.

And, our Father will both dry your tears – and bring ultimate judgment.

As it is written: “God is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

He Himself said that He would “neither leave us nor forsake us.”

Be persistent.

Keep pulling the trigger.

Unlike combat soldiers, Prophetic Warriors have an unlimited supply of weapons and ammunition – and our Leadership does not fail.

Open Doors Lead to New Rooms

John is a Northwesterner, and has a beautiful description of the transition we're now experiencing, here in the Northwest. -ed.

Delta Doors
It has been 22 months [at the time this was written] since the Lord visited me with the strong message about "Delta" and "Doors." You may have noticed Paul Keith Davis' newsletter for August 2011 that was titled A Day of Open Doors. I find much encouragement through the revelations and writings of Paul Keith and I've noticed others have had "door" revelations in the past year. Still, my spirit has not been entirely at peace about this "door" message.

Passing through doors in the spiritual realm does not produce a change in circumstances without first producing a change within us. Doors represent transition. Transition is movement and movement often produces insecurity as we move from one balanced step to the next. In transition we often first pass through our expectations of what we think the change should look like. As the nature of change is to change us, the first thing often required is our expectation of what change should look like.

Let's go back [several] weeks to the pivotal time of Rosh Hashanah. There was much spoken of and prophesied about this season: earthquakes, huge changes in church as we know it, etc...

Two Things to Understand
Some prophetic words have a Kingdom (spiritual) realization but their manifestation on this plane is delayed.

For example, I believe there has been a significant change in "how America does Church." That change presently is the Kingdom realm – the spiritual realm – and may not be visible and demonstrated until a cataclysmic event sets it off. The stage has been set, but to say the change has occurred would be like inviting thousands of people to a concert a week before the musicians arrive.

The other thing to understand is the limitations of our linear, Greek-style of thinking.
As American Christians we are hard-wired to believe that events occur in a rational sequence. B follows A, four follows three, and any change in the Spirit is simply an extension of where we have already been. We seem to equate spiritual progress with job promotions. But to do this is prophesying from our tip-toes and can lead to dangerous speculation. Where we are presently is not someplace the Body has been before, nor it is a mere extension of where we were. The Lord's idea of progress is not the same as ours.

Open Doors Lead to New Rooms
Imagine a large, beautiful house. You have dwelt in this house for a long time. Your favorite room has become your "living" room. You know how the light enters the windows during certain times of the day and seasons of the year. You have a favorite chair or couch on which to rest and you've decorated the walls with symbols of desires, values and memories. We have a particular room like this. It contains our wood stove, a brick chimney and wood box, a handmade bookshelf with a few hundred books, one La-Z-Boy chair, a couch, and rocking chair. On the walls are a number of pelts – bobcat, wolf, coyote and badger – a buffalo skull, a European mount of a whitetail buck, an L. A. Huffman print of South Sunday Creek, a framed Ezra Riley book cover, two framed Wally Badgett cartoons, and chaps and spurs hanging in a corner.

It is a comfortable room and very Western. It reflects who "we" are, or more precisely, who I am. Imagine as you sit in your comfortable room that you suddenly notice a door you'd not seen before. Curiously, you rise from your comfort, crack the door open, and peer inside. The new room is dimly lit, so you enter to take a better look and the door closes behind you.

The door is stuck hard, but not locked. If you truly want to return to comfort it's possible, but an inner compass settles and centers you. You look about the new room. To your senses, there is not much here to like. The room seems very bare and the shades on the windows are drawn, making the room almost dark. But you do notice the floor is hardwood and the ceiling seems higher than normal.

The room and its atmosphere is very clean as if prepared beforehand, but you desire more air and light. You pull the curtains back and open a window. There is a view before you that you've not quite seen before. It's your yard, your place, but from a different angle. The light and fresh air brings a warmth to the room and you see that the floor is even more beautiful than you'd thought. It glistens in the sunlight.

What this room lacks is a personal touch. The foundation and atmosphere reflects His handiwork, but the walls are bare. You must personalize this room with your sanctified values, dreams, desires, and memories before it is fully yours to occupy. But there is no rush to do this.

And the room is strangely silent. If you put your ear to the wall you would faintly hear prophetic voices describing "new seasons" and "new doors" coming from the room you'd just left but the voices now seem dim and hollow. They don't speak to you now.

The room needs music. But not any music. Not yesterday's music. It needs a music from within that you've never heard. The new room calls for a new response. You sense you have arrived at a deeper level and somewhere here is a new sound of worship. Something more fulfilling, more piercing and authoritative, yet, softer and sweeter than any sound you've known. As the sound grows in you it seems tangible, like a cloud of energy hungering for release. It is so large and so enlarging that you wonder if you can birth it and still live.

You are impressed to sit, relax and wait. Busyness alone won't enhance this room, in fact, mere busyness would degrade its atmosphere. This is a room where patience is embraced and where patience embraces in return. Peace is here. Its presence is close. You sit in the new room not knowing what comes next and not caring. We are impressed to simply sit on the floor. Relax and wait. Busyness won't change this room.
We must sit, wait, and allow our eyes to become accustomed to new light. This is where we are in the present season of new, open doors.

The Rock Has Rolled

by John L. Moore
John is a resident of Montana, close to, but not technically part of, the Pacific Northwest. That's not why this word is included in the NWP Record.

Several prophetic people have drawn my attention to this word, and declared what my own spirit was saying: This is a word for the Northwest. --Editor

John L. MooreThe Rock
On 7-7-11 I said, "The rock has rolled."
The Rock
The rock before the storm
Recently a freak thunderstorm crossed the north side of our ranch before bringing much destruction to a farming community east of us on the Yellowstone River.
The photo above is a partial look at a landmark on our ranch, a massive rock with horizontal lines (perhaps caused by ocean tides when eastern Montana was on the bottom of an ocean?) and stretching over 100 feet and rising up to 15 feet above the ground.
Little about this rock has changed through the years.
The Rock
The rock after the storm
After the storm Wally Badgett and I trailed some yearlings past Krumm Spring and I could not believe my eyes. The angry storm had dislodged a horizontal portion of the rock wall and left it standing vertically without rolling it down the hill. This rock is standing on a narrow ledge with its lines now pointing up.
While I was watching the live streaming of the Open Door Conference at Chuck Pierce's church on a recent Friday night, the Lord gave me understanding about this rock.
The total rock represents the Church. For a long time all of the Church's "lines" have been horizontal. The Church has been concerned about fellowship, church growth, activities, social programs, etc...
But a storm broke off a "remnant" without destroying it. Instead, the remnant is now pointing up to the heavens. See how this rock even resembles a hand.
This is a sign for our times. A remnant within the Church will break away from horizontal works and point upward to Christ.
Blessings,
John L. Moore

Postscript on the Rock:
  • Krumm Spring is a very important water source on the ranch. During our many drought years it was the only spring not to go dry, though it slowed to just a trickle before this year.
  • Krumm Spring is two miles south and on the same divide as the Rock Circles where we have done so much land cleansing and warfare. At Krumm Spring is the greenest cedar tree you will ever see (photo available upon request) and above it is a lookout point with teepee rings.
  • Krumm Spring was actually named for two single women who homesteaded there about 100 years ago.
  • The rock that was dislodged probably weighs one ton and sets on a ledge that is only a couple feet wide. The storm was coming from the northwest to the southeast and the rock should have been thrown off that ledge to topple downhill.
John L. Moore is a cattle rancher, novelist, journalist and prophetic voice from Montana. He is probably best known to Elijah List readers as the friend and mentor of Ching Co Ten. (Only the Lord could put a Montana cowboy and a Chinese prophetess living in the Philippines together.)

Viewing the Shift

By Ron McGatlin

The goal of the ministry of the church.

The primary goal is not a bigger group, more activities or better services, it is not even benevolent acts, nor greater prosperity, and not even more and better evangelism, neither is it healing or emotional healing and deliverance. All of these and more are the results of the goal of the "ekklesia" (assembly of called out ones). The goal is Christ formed by the Holy Spirit in a people becoming His character and His nature in the world producing the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

This is the work of the Holy Spirit in the humble and not a work of man's prideful efforts. The Holy Spirit brings the life of Christ within replacing our dead self-life. It is Christ being formed within by the same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The major fruit of the Spirit flowing from the Christ within is love. Unconditional love flowing from a pure heart leads to all the other fruits of the Spirit including joy, peace and faith to name a few. (Galatians 5:22:KJV)

The love of Christ flowing from a pure heart is the most powerful world changing force. Fear, pride, lust, greed, envy, and every evil work can be overpowered by love from a pure hearted ekklesia touching and changing our household and those who abide within then spilling out to the world.

Paul spoke clearly the goal of ministry to Timothy.

1 Timothy 1:5 NIV: The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

The Church is moving to embrace the goal expressed in the early church.

For a number of years the prophets have proclaimed a coming paradigm shift and the return of functioning apostles to help lead toward the new landscape. Many in the past have also added that they had no clear picture of what the new landscape of church would look like.

Now that the shift is in process and the new landscape is coming into view many are extremely surprised and even astonished. Some doubt that it is God doing the shifting. In reality we are all in a state of transition and are at different places in the journey of transition. And some have not yet taken the first step toward following this movement of the cloud and pillar of fire.

Some key words of this season are: intimacy with God, Father's love, "Christ in you", Holy Spirit saturation, soaking, God's manifest presence, transformation, reformation, church without walls and more. Relationship is a major concept of the shift - first intimate relationship with God and then with one another. The love and gifts flowing through relationship are becoming the primary structure replacing institutional structure.

Without brokenness leading to real repentance and real humility it is impossible to relate to God intimately. Intimacy with God is primary. Without intimately relating with God through the Holy Spirit it is not possible to see what is shifting and how it will look. To begin to view some light on the shift it is absolutely necessary to get in close contact with the Holy Spirit and get out of the mind set that our particular flavor of religious system or structure is the final destination. The Spirit must reveal to us that our "system" is NOT the church. We do not go to the church nor join the church. We are added to the church and we are the church. The church is the "ekklesia" (assembly of called out ones). Most every Bible teacher has taught about the priesthood of the believer but it has not really been fully practiced in the past. The "clergy/laity" system made it impossible for the full reality of the priesthood of the believer to come forth.

The church is NOT passing away - the systems are passing away.

In the confusion of the transition some think that anarchy and rebellion are coming against the church and attempting to throw off the leadership of apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd and teacher. If there are any such people out there I personally have not come into contact with them and they are definitely wrong. Let me assure you that the new paradigm will bring forth many times more gifted leaders than we ever had in the passing systems. The Holy Spirit will have freedom to bring forth multitudes of gifted men and women who have in the passing systems been relegated to pew sitting, or limited jobs within the system.

In recent decades many have become discouraged and have left religious systems in search of more reality of God. Often these pilgrims have spent years in a wilderness type experiences. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness before joining with others to fulfill his purposes. Moses spent 40 years in the desert before joining with others and moving toward the fulfillment of His life ministry. Paul also endured a wilderness season. Many scattered wilderness dwellers who had left the old are beginning to re connect and find their place in the ekklesia. For the most part they never wanted to leave God but had to leave the life limiting traditional clergy/laity structure. It is not the way of God to remain isolated from the rest of the body forever though the wilderness experience may have served a purpose and seasons of separation alone with God are often significantly used of God.

We are now coming to understand the difference between leadership and headship.

There is one head of the ekklesia. There are no people to stand as head over the ekklesia or to represent the head to the mature believers. The head is Christ Jesus flowing through the Holy Spirit and living in all his people.

Then you ask, what is leadership?

Leadership implies being in front of a moving group that is following. It simply means those further down the road. They are all on the same road. The mature lead the immature until they are matured and then they lead other immature in turn. Spiritual maturity is being able to clearly hear God and then being able to fully obey. If we are childish and yet have a self-life - if we are plagued by unhealed inner wounds and inner needs that drive us, we will not clearly hear God and will lack the ability to fully obey or carry out the instruction or direction from God.

Another word for mature is elder. Now, we need to lose our understanding of an elder from the passing system of church offices. We also need to lose our understanding of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastor and teachers as church system offices. Elders lead by example training and assisting the immature. They shepherd and oversee. They allow the maturing disciples to watch them and their lives. Then the elders release the maturing disciples to do the work while they watch. Then they leave them doing the work and relate to the mature ones no longer as sons or daughters but as grown brothers and sisters who are themselves now mature or elder.

The servant gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd and teacher are already in the people while they were yet immature but cannot flow out to others until they are mature (elder). Therefore elders may be by their gifting apostles, prophets, evangelist, shepherds or teachers. The practical reality of the masses flowing and exercising their spiritual gifts greatly multiplies the leadership of the ekklesia. This greatly increases the discipleship and evangelism of the Body.

All this takes place in a multitude of generic family style groups and public gatherings where Christ in the people by the Holy Spirit connects with the manifest presence of Christ from the throne by the Holy Spirit and the true Head is joined to the Body.

This living Body of believers released to function as priests and kings will provide millions more leaders to lead the immature in multitudes of local groups and to flow from group to group bringing the gifts God has given them.

The Holy Spirit will guide everyone who can hear and obey.

Those who cannot yet hear and obey will be led and trained by elders who are matured through much affliction, humbled and purified by the love of God experience, to the point that they can clearly hear and obey. This is God's original design to bring forth the Body and Bride of Christ into the world. Christ being formed in many bodies networked together by the Holy Spirit as the one Body of Christ. It is Christ in you that is the hope of glory and the method for the kingdom of God to function on earth as it is in heaven.

Be careful not to be misled.

It can be easy to be mislead by the fierce reactions of those who are not yet understanding the shift and are fearful of the loss of the systems that have served us for so long. Also do not be mislead by those who would attempt to hijack the developing movement with a repackaging of the passing system practices with new labels.

The shift is not all about how or where groups come together. You can have the old system traditional church in a house or at work and simply continue the traditions of men in a different venue. Or you can have a Christ led first century style assembly in a house or a red brick building. The move is about Christ truly becoming the head in a practical real way and not just in word only.

Consider the timing.

This shift is a work of God through the Holy Spirit and is occurring over a period of time. This will NOT all happen today or tomorrow. It may be years or it may be hundreds of years before this transition season is over. It would be a huge mistake to get into the flesh and try to bring about by human effort what God is doing. It would be equally problematic to try to run ahead of the work the Holy Spirit is doing. Feeding from the tree of knowledge of good and of evil led us into the perversions of the past. Partaking from the tree of life of intimate relationship with God to clearly hear Him and fully obey His direction will cause us to walk precisely in His will and timing. For today and the near future it is certain that the presentation of church will have many and varied transitional models that God will use as much as he can.

Many factors will affect the transition including world political conditions. In increasing parts of the world, the true church is underground because of governmental and religious extreme persecution. While in other places freedom and favor for the church may be increasing.

The Early Church (Ekklesia) Model

In the early church the gifted but humble apostolic servant leaders lived among the people and taught them publicly and from house to house. They ate together with gladness and simplicity of heart. A multiplicity of elders (spiritually mature leaders) cared for the city church that met in houses and gathered publicly daily on occasions.

Acts 2:46: So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Acts 20:17-20: From Miletus he (Paul) sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church. And when they had come to him, he said to them: "You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you, "serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews; "how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,
