Three Dreams of Catastrophe from the Water

Introduction: I don’t usually publish dreams without interpretation, but these seemed unusually significant. The three dreamers are known to a prophet friend of mine who teaches a class on interpretation: they do not know each other, nor were these dreams shared among them. I’ve edited out a few personal names that are not meaningful to our purposes. –Editor.

Dream #1

My soon-to-be ex-wife told me that she didn't feel well and I told her to just go home and lay down, she could rearrange her hours and work later. Then I went with my sister down to the edge of the river which looked like an ocean and there was an all town alert that there was going to be a big wave coming in (tsunami or storm) We were behind a window w/curtains and we waited until the last couple of minutes to get ready so we walked outside and the whole waterfront was full of people w/innertubes, life rafts, life vests, and whole bunch of supplies. So we made our way up the bridge and when we got to the top we were really far above all the people and we could see thousands of people below us and then I realized that we didn't have any vests or rafts or anything and we only had a couple of minutes to go get them. So we started running down the bridge to shore then we realized we weren't on a bridge at all but a giant ship, and my step-daughter was walking on the ship w/all her stuff and I told her we would be right back. Then I remember thinking we were on a ship we don't need a life vests or rafts. Then I woke up and felt uneasy. tossing and turning the rest of the night.

Dream #2

[My friend] and I were on a large boat on a body of water that appeared to be a large bay. There was a coastal community along the shore, and there were boats ties to buoys and moving about in the bay. We could see a large storm off in the distance moving toward the bay and community we were near. I knew we were safe and protected in the boat we were on. As the storm neared I could see it was engulfing everything in its path. People were coming by in smaller boats and we were trying to get them to come onto our boat. A few did but most wanted to head for shore where thy thought it would be safe. As the storm moved through I could not see anything outside of the boat, but our boat did not move, it just stood still and steady through the storm. When the storm had past there was utter destruction all around. I don't remember seeing any boats still afloat in the bay. When we moved toward the land there were large boats that had been tossed up on the shore and upside down among the destroyed homes in the town. We went up onto shore to look for survivors. When I looked in one of the boats I couldn't see but I knew the people had died. The names of some of the people we were looking for were people from our church. There were survivors that appeared dazed walking amongst the destroyed homes and boats.

Dream #3

Last night I dreamed a dream where I knew some major catastrophe was occurring. Water was rushing everywhere. I knew people were drowning and yet I was at peace. I fear drowning the most, so this is not common for me to be at peace.

I was on a hilltop at a beautiful ranch type estate. Busy, running around preparing for a VERY important wedding. Everything had to be right, every flower, place setting, etc.. When I would look behind me I could see in the near distance waves, Tsunami style, crashing in and swallowing people up. Yet I felt like it was so out of my hands. I was very sad but felt it was done. Then I would deliberately turn around and focus straight ahead and go about wedding prep.

Suddenly there is a problem. People start getting excited and telling me MY groom is here, it is time. I realize it is my wedding. I get excited and then immediately panic. 'Where's my dress??' I run around and people can't help me find this dress. They keep saying HE says the dress isn't important, its not about the dress.

I run downstairs in a building and see the windows fill outside with water and realize it has reached us, it is here. Suddenly I know that the wedding, the marriage is what’s important. I rush up and outside and just as I am ready to go as I am, someone pulls me aside handing me the most beautiful wedding dress. It is strangely reminiscent of the gown I wanted as a child. It is huge and beautiful with puffs everywhere. Long beautiful sleeves that come to a point on my hands, sparkling, off the shoulder with a long train. I can still see myself in it.. though my face is not like my face it is hard to make out it is glowing...It sparkles in the sun. I put it on and feel like a million dollars, like a princess. Suddenly I am walking down an aisle and all of these people I love are there the love is beaming from their faces. They are all saying how happy they are for me, how radiant I look. As I look for my groom I know it isn't [my natural husband] and that is ok.

All around I know there is devastation right behind me, on my heels, yet it is the most beautiful and calm moment.

This either speaks to impending danger or revival.

The Perfect Storm--Prepare For A Downpour Of My Spirit!

Recently in a ministry trip to Ketchikan, Alaska, I heard the Lord begin to speak about a "perfect storm" or a perfect set of circumstances that would appear to be disastrous or tragic, but in reality is a chain reaction creating monumental breakthrough and powerful lateral momentum in His Kingdom. It's like a tsunami that comes in with such force, and then in its wake, massive amounts of land are pulled out with it.

These "perfect storms" are a series of divine circumstances often seen in our headlines and front pages almost daily as a blueprint for incredible breakthrough and Kingdom advancement. What may at first appear to be unexplainable events, will prove to be tipping points and historic progressive breakthroughs that alter the course of regions, states and nations.

The Noah Factor and Massive Global Breakthrough

Look at Noah's circumstances--what apparently began as a complete disaster became a "new world" or a complete change in circumstances and environment. Recently I was in the Portland, Oregon area ministering at an Assembly of God church, as this historic or "perfect storm" hit interrupting transportation in mass and is still currently having an incredible impact on the environment. After the weekend meeting, I was scheduled to leave on Monday, December 3rd, but felt led to leave as the storm approached on December 2nd after ministering at the PM meeting.

I believe the entire trip that night was to receive God's perspective at a deeper level as sheets of rain and blasting gusts of wind descended. These disturbing current events overseas and in the U.S. are catalytic in nature that will often "violently" (as stated in Mathew 11:12) and radically change the landscape, removing obstacles of resistance once and for all. What would have taken years and even a lifetime to change, will happen in seconds, minutes and hours (under these adverse events).

Portland: Prepare for a Downpour of My Spirit!

As I came in view of Portland's skyline on Interstate-5, I literally saw clouds of God's presence over particular buildings downtown. This was not a "fog" or haze; I literally saw the physical manifestation of God's presence over the city as recent record-breaking rain and wind converged on the city. As I drove the length of Portland at 11pm on December 2nd, the Lord stated, "Portland: PREPARE for a downpour of My Spirit! Even as the wind and rain are hitting you, even so shall My Spirit hit you--all of you."

There was such a prominence or emphasis on this word for exactly where the rain and wind were impacting the city--her streets, buildings and waterways. It was a candid picture of a perfect storm of God's Holy Spirit coming to radically change the moral, spiritual and social landscape like a flood.

Seattle, Portland and Boise: A Triune Counsel of God's Heart

During our five-month series of meetings in Stockton, California this year, I heard the Lord state this prophetically in one of our Friday night revival services, "SEATTLE, PORTLAND AND BOISE: A TRIUNE COUNSEL OF GOD'S HEART." I see this playing itself out now as historic headlining moments unfold targeting these three-key cities in the Pacific Northwest. A "foursquare" balance of "God's Heart and Will" shall emerge from the Church in these three cities that will cause a divine equilibrium in the Body of Christ nationally and even globally. From Sunday services, spontaneous outbreaks of revival to divinely orchestrated conferences and rallies, the heart of God for world harvest and strategic occupation shall form from these three places, having a profound impact on the future of the Church and the world it is reaching.

Watch and see as other situations occur in these cities and states that some will label "bizarre, strange and uncanny," but they will prove, as circumstances progress, to be a "perfect storm" that creates massive momentum and historic change setting the plumb line of God's will for decades to come. Seattle, Portland and Boise will prove to be a "threefold cord that is not easily broken" as 2008 unfolds. 2008 will be one of the most defining and definitive years for these three cities and states, repositioning the Church as even current doctrine is transformed like the land is around them during these historic events. His plumb line will be laid out clearly for the world to see in the Pacific Northwest.

The Rejected Will Be Accepted and Reinstated in 2008

2008 will go down in history as the YEAR OF THE PRODIGAL as those that have suffered severe rejection are now accepted and reinstated by the Hand of the Lord. It will not be an act of man even as it was not the act of man that reinstated the prodigal son to his position, or Moses, David and Jonah to theirs. The grace of God will prove itself sufficient in 2008 as significant headlining reconciliation and restorations takes place. Newspapers, talk shows and other major media events will become harbingers of God's intentions like no other time in 2008 as the "uncomely parts" are bestowed more honor.

Those that have been disgraced, misunderstood and forgotten will be suddenly thrust back to the forefront as Joseph was from his pit and prison. The stone covering many people's "lion's den" shall be rolled away, revealing a greater destiny inside. Those that have "fellowshipped in His suffering" shall undoubtedly now walk in resurrection power.

2008: The Year of the Indigenous

Major political and social events shall occur that publicly and historically place the Native American people into a place of restoration. An "every eye shall see" shall unfold in 2008, taking their cause from the ranks of "last," and making it "first." The anointing of peacemaker shall take center stage on many international platforms as the indigenous people take the lead in major national events. Certain seats of national authority have been reserved for them for such a time as this. Faces that have been hidden from public view will now "arise and shine" and the caricature of previous history will be eclipsed by a new breed of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers revealing the original foundation that the Lord has established.

City seats and governmental positions will now be vacant as these noble people step into their rightful position of leadership. Church governments will inevitably and unavoidably have to reach out to the Native American people if they are ever going to see the fullness of the Lord's will in their cities and churches; this will become perfectly clear as the year unfolds. Media and movies will continue to lead the charge as the Lord shines His divine spotlight on a chosen generation of Native Americans.

North Dakota, New Mexico, Arizona and Wyoming will take on an apostolic role of reconciliation and restoration as a "voice crying in the wilderness" begins to be heard in America. The true genuine Joseph anointing will be seen in its full stature and true character as these people take up the call and the election of the Lord in 2008 and beyond.

An Assembly of God's Presence is Amassing

Remember the reference to the Assembly of God church above? I have ministered in two Assembly of God churches in the last two months, particularly in the Portland area. Not only is the Lord's presence targeting certain denominations and churches such as the A.G., but He is targeting major metropolitan cities in a terrific, historic way. Even as we have seen Interstate-5 interrupted between Portland and Seattle by torrential rain and flooding, it is only a prelude to incredible divine interruptions as the Lord begins to fill His temple as He did in Acts chapter 2.

Some are calling the recent storm "the 40-year" storm because of its intensity and the first of its kind in 40 years. Many mainline denominations that have remained steadfast in former doctrine and dogma, indifferent to the current move of God, will emerge from the tomb like Lazarus; the grave clothes of previous experiences no longer hindering them. Even more contemporary church movements that have detoured from their divine course will find new vision and grace to return to their "First Love" and do the "first works." Like the little boats in Luke chapter 5, the influx and increase will be so great, it will demand a greater unified front than ever before in the Body of Christ to ultimately accomplish His work:

"So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink." Luke 5:7

Imagine success in the Lord's Kingdom that is so great that unless you reach out and accept assistance from others, your ministry will sink?! That is the kind of divine challenges the future holds as the "perfect storms" of God's will converge upon the world.

WIND STORM PROPHETIC WORD

Chuck Pierce said, “I’m going to tell you, as a sign, you watch the winds start hitting Oregon as a sign that says, ‘I am blowing away the old season out of this region.’”

At the finish of this statement, Denny Cline, pastor of Albany VCF, stepped up on the platform and announced, “Yeah, we just found out that there’s a storm that’s supposed to hit tomorrow like the Columbus Day Storm [of 1962].They’re comparing it to the 1962 storm that hit. That’s the biggest storm that’s ever hit Oregon that we know of. In 1962 on Columbus Day, it had 100 MPH winds. They’re comparing this. They said it’s supposed to hit tomorrow (Sat 12/1/07). Now I don’t know if we should pray to lessen this thing or what. I don’t know. I’ll leave that up to you (speaking to Chuck Pierce) ya know, but I mean that’s incredible!”

Chuck Pierce: “You know, I always prophesy in the nick of time! I’m mean, really now, I’m shocked! I’m just going by the word here [he had just read from Is. 41: 14-16 and was commenting on this passage being fulfilled in the church this coming year.] Now what we want to do is ask the Lord to lessen any damage, but to awaken the people of God because the cleansing wind is going to come and blow away the past season.”

His teaching this night had been centered on Zech. 2:13 as well as Is 41:10-16 and he said we were already in the new season and that it started in the 7th month, which is the Jewish New Year. He says prophesy is based on the Jewish calendar, not the Roman one we use. Therefore, he believes we are already well on our way to seeing the new season of victory promised to us last year, a year of warfare and contending for the breakthroughs we have believed are on the way.

Storm's two-fistedness is what gave it near-record punch

by The Oregonian
Monday December 03, 2007, 7:30 PM
The effects could challenge those of the Columbus Day Storm of 1962

By the time it rumbled ashore late Sunday night, the storm dubbed a "monster" by forecasters began to show its teeth. It mowed down large swaths of forest, severed electrical, transportation and communication lifelines and dumped copious amounts of rain.

In meteorological terms, it was a mid-latitude cyclone, churning with power that began as typhoons, and exploded with hurricane-force winds over the Pacific Ocean as it was energized with cold air from Alaska.

"We usually get big windstorms or big rainstorms, but not both at the same time," said George Taylor of the Oregon Climate Service. "With this one, we had near-record wind and near-record rain at the same time."

At the height of its fury, the storm stretched more than 4,000 miles, with its main impact felt from Florence north to Bellingham, Wash. Triple-digit winds -- 129 mph at Bay City on the northern Oregon coast -- and sustained winds of 60 mph to 70 mph wreaked havoc on coastal stands of trees, their roots weakened by as much as 10 inches of rain.

Wolf Read, a meteorological consultant with a keen interest in wind in general and Pacific Northwest windstorms in particular, said peak gusts at Newport and Astoria topped those recorded during the infamous Columbus Day Storm of October 1962. Wind gusts during the Columbus Day Storm reached 127 mph in the Willamette Valley, and many stations had gusts between 75 and 100 mph.

The winds might even have been higher at Newport and Astoria this time, he said, although he can't be sure because weather data was interrupted when the power went out.

Read said although the triple-digit gusts Sunday and Monday were impressive, the sustained winds of 60 mph to 75 mph are what caused "windthrow," a natural phenomenon that affects thousands of acres of forests in the Northwest when it happens once every 10 to 20 years. Large patches of trees -- often near clearcuts or roads -- get blown over en masse, knocking out power and blocking roads.

"Those are Category 1 hurricane-force winds, and that doesn't happen very often. The potential for tree damage is incredible," Read said. "Such storms – mid-latitude cyclones -- have a reach far beyond that of a typical hurricane . . . and can cause damage into the hundreds of millions, even billions" of dollars.

Read said he was skeptical last week when forecasters with the National Weather Service in Portland first mentioned the storm's potential impact -- until, he says, he looked at wind speeds over the ocean.

"The truth is, the weather service went out on a limb and that takes guts," he said of the early warning. "But they were justified in doing it. This storm was a once every 40- or 45-year event, even for the coast. It's storms like this that may slowly erode the memory of the Columbus Day Storm."

Although rainfall amounts totaled less than during last year's record-setting rains in the coastal mountains near Tillamook, fast-responding rivers such as the Wilson, Trask, Nehalem, and Willapa in southwest Washington, rapidly reached flood stage.

As fast as the rivers rose, they began to recede, said Andy Bryant of the Northwest River Forecast Center. He said the Wilson and Nehalem rivers crested above flood stage at about 2 p.m. Monday. The Wilson River never matched the level it reached last year, but the Trask rose higher than 2006, pushed there by massive rains, and Bryant said, "much higher seas."

He said that after the cold front moves to the east by Tuesday morning, northwest Oregon and southwest Washington will be looking at showers, a bit of rain and cool temperatures, and a slow drying trend into the weekend.
