It's Time to Hone

Some few days past I was hearing The Lord speak to me "hone", "It's time to hone". And I am not able to let this short word and phrase go, nor of course do I want to let this go!

I understood this in part, as a message that it is 'time to sharpen, clean-up the rough edges and smooth-out....' = hone......... and as I looked up this word for further understanding I did discover this example:hone: As in, 'to sharpen a blade with a whet' (or whetstone). Pondering this with Lord the scrip came to me,

"...... the sword of The Spirit which is the Word of God." - Eph. 6:17

Many folks understand the wonderful armor and this magnificent 'sword' brought forth in Ephesians as our written scriptures, our bible -- and I agree with this! However, I also understand this 'Sword / Word' weapon as that Word from God that Holy Spirit may speak to you and I freshly, now, today.

I, we, or whomever this that I write may also speak to (?) ....... presently need to hone. We can clear out the wax from ear canals, as it were; anoint our 'eyes with eyesalve that we may see', place our feet in freshly polished boots upon the royal Way, clean accumulated muck off of our spiritual antennae (so to speak), plus more and various depending upon our personal need -- honing ourselves on and of The Rock (Jesus, our whetstone) for whatever we have need to be cleaned, smoothed, cleared and sharpened.

Thus we may then stand prepared to receive from HIM with cutting edge clearness. I believe our Lord desires us to hear with smooth clarity sharp-to-the-point messages, in whatever form HIS revelation presents to us -- useful clear prophetic now-today-word from our Lord, for ourselves to wield and for those we are to share with.

There is never a problem on our Lord's end and delivery of HIS' Word,

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Heb. 4:12

"...and out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged sword;..." - Rev. 1:16

Rather the present problem of possible cloudy or unclear, unspecific receiving is on my / our end.

"...time to hone."

This ability to 'hear and/or relay clear messages from our Lord' is not received because of our in-gifted desire alone, but as I am given to understand this "hone" word delivered; this is our Lord Jesus' desire presently, through us and for HIS purposes.

As I wrote that last paragraph, I'm now getting a small vision of a very well dressed man-servant of long ago (1600's approx?, large plumed hat etc.). He is bowing low on one knee, removing his hat and crossing his arm and the hat across his chest, in a courtroom before a king sitting high on a splendid throne. Once bowed, with head down the servant is speaking to the king,

'At Your service Your Majesty'

Larger Land Allotments

(dream + some insight received, 5-21-07)

In this dream I was standing outdoors with a friend, 'someone' (?) who was not seen clearly by me, but I dream-knew this person to be 'my friend'.

We were standing street-side of a new community where several new houses were being constructed as we watched; It seemed most of these new houses were almost ready for outer/inner 'finishing construction stages',, but not quite there yet...

As I looked I happily noted that each new house/home had been allotted very large yards surrounding them, with much land space around each house being built (as opposed to many, or even most new home construction here in our general area 'in real life'; new houses in new communities which have hardly ANY yard/outdoor space between them – front/back/& sides!).

In this dream, I then spoke out loud excitedly to my friend who stood next to me, "Oh,,, that's right, I remember now! ... Due to the new Washington State* law, builders are now required to allot each house 'much land' !,,, and builders can no longer place new houses almost right on top of each other..."

I felt real happy about this in the dream – and I then awoke.

some interpretation:

After asking The Lord concerning this short dream -- I am understanding the overall spiritual message of the dream is being directed towards some 'newer ministry/ministries' (new construction).

I believe my dream-friend is The Lord, Holy Spirit (not seen). Houses often represent families, groups, particular ministries, churches, as in a specific family-of-God, in the way of God' language 'to me'. That being so, I feel our Lord is saying that some 'newer ministries' (new houses being built / constructed) are even now almost upon their completion,, thusly almost readied for His'/their 'finishing touches'.

The Lord (the new law now being enacted) is allotting larger space, more room for these new ministries (bigger land space ownership) as these 'newer ministries' by faith will stretch out the places of their tents / houses / ministries.............

"Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;..." - Isaiah. 54:2

I feel our Lord prompting me to add this: Believers, we need not think of 'ministry' to be only some larger missionary endeavor, or large new outreach or large new _________ __________ _______ etc. (you fill in the blanks here), but rather we can understand that 'ministry' may be as seemingly small as your/my prayer life, a 'new' personal experience and way, a new personal __________ _________ _ ____,, and etc. (you may fill in the blanks here, too ;o).....for we all have our personal and family houses, group or ministry (just as those individual houses, in my dream), both natural and spiritual 'homes / houses'... yea.

Summing up a little, some of the message contained in my dream received: I believe our Lord is directing some of us via this dream, that it is now time to push beyond our expected boundaries (old smaller yards) as we will look and "see" the larger land given, being allotted to our 'newer ministries'. Knowing too, that many 'new ministries' may appear unique and even farther separated from 'one another' (larger land space between), yet even so, we can rightly perceive of Holy Spirit that every one of these 'newer ministries' in their great variety, flavors, and expression (various 'houses') really are all being raised-up in 'the same block' (same community), thus in joint unity -- Christ Jesus Own Body and Building.

'Newer ministry/ministries': I believe our Lord is saying that as you will at this time 'go for it', catching the vision of His/your new-building, new house almost finished, and your bigger land space lawfully allotted; spreading your wings to fly-out-larger by faith into the enlarged places given of our Lord, Then follows = EXPANsion unto COMPLETion in these times, for our Lord's success in and amongst His' people.

We can foresee also, that when the harder labor of 'building a house' is done, then comes that labor of joy and great pleasure in the finishing decor and adorning; both inside and outside.

"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,

My soul shall be joyful in my God;

For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

For as the earth brings forth its bud,

As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,

So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations ." - Is. 61:10, 11

" And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. " - Revelation. 19:8
