The Looming War and Coming Harvest

By Cindy Jacobs
Editor's note: This prophetic message is neither from nor about the Pacific Northwest, though the topics discussed will certainly have bearing on the Northwest region, and on believers in our Northwest region. More importantly, as I was reading this with 1 Corinthians 14:29 in mind, I felt an affirmation and even an urgency from the Lord to share the word.

Rumors of wars seem to be a Middle East staple. Since at least 2008, Iran has been threatening to wipe Israel from the map as it works to build a nuclear program (*Jaseb). Now, an 18-month civil war has destabilized Syria, said to posses 1,000 tons of chemical weapons (*"Obama warns").

Our region has been on the verge of war for years, but I believe the LORD has delayed the conflict. In 2009, the LORD gave me two visions in which I saw Israel's enemies, portrayed as witches, sharks and wolves which were pushed back after intercessors cried out to God. I saw a clock, which moved back from 5 minutes before midnight to 10, then 15 minutes before midnight. (See "Prayer for Israel in a Strategic Time", March 2012).

The purpose of the delay was to allow houses of prayer to be established throughout the Middle East. These regional intercessors will shine a light in the darkness and pull open the doors of heaven. (See "A vision of a 'Gideon' victory in the Middle East", April 2012)

Since 2009, we are in relationship with five houses of prayer in Turkey, three in Lebanon, two in Egypt and two in Dubai. In Israel, in addition to the several houses of prayer in Jerusalem, we know of others established in Tel Aviv, the Galilee and the Golan. Even when God pushes the clock back, it does not stop but continues to move forward. So time has marched on. We must be like the sons of Issachar and discern the times and the seasons (1 Chronicles 12:32).

I have not had the freedom to pray against war, but neither do I sense that this will be a major, end times war such as is described in Ezekiel 37-38 or Zechariah 12-14. What I do sense developing within the next few months is more like a Psalm 83 scenario where a regional confederation menaces Israel.

In the midst of this, I'm hearing three exhortations from the LORD:
  1. Strengthen the Borders.
  2. Build Up Gaps in the Wall.
  3. Prepare for Harvest.
A Level of War for God's Glory

A series of visions the LORD has given me over the past several years speak to that strategy of God. (See "A vision of a 'Gideon' victory in the Middle East", April 2012). In a vision in February 2012, I saw that the LORD had made a protective wall of the blood of Jesus and the positioned angels with their shields and trumpets invisible to His enemies in order to lure them into a trap.

Iran, Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon continue to threaten Israel, as do elements within Gaza and Egypt's Sinai. Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rants (Jaseb) almost quote Psalm 83:4 (NIV): "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel's name is remembered no more." It could be that soon, God may allow a level of war to glorify Himself in Israel and among the nations.

Strengthening the Border

In 2011, on the anniversaries of the establishment of the State of Israel and of the Six-Day War, Palestinian refugees and activists stormed the land borders of Israel. The rush was particularly thick from Syria on these nakba (Arabic for catastrophe) and naksa (Arabic for setback) days. I believe they were trial runs to test Israeli defenses.

The LORD has also highlighted to us the coastal border of Israel, the Mediterranean Sea. The new government in Egypt is allowing Iranian war ships through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean. Most recently, Egypt refused to inspect an Iranian ship laden with weapons for Syria (Haaretz). Also, Egypt will reportedly buy two attack submarines from Germany (Miller).

Pray that the Messianic body in the Land will rise up to intercede for Israel.

A major group of messianic pastors recently called for three days of fasting and prayer on September 22-24. Specifically pray Psalm 28:5-6, which in part says that the LORD will be "a source of strength to those who turn the battle at the gate." (NIV)

Keep praying that the blood of Jesus and His angels would continue to protect the borders, praying Psalm 29:3 (NIV): "The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD thunders over the mighty waters."

Build Up the Gaps in the Walls of Protection

It is vital to fill in the voids in the walls of protection, in our own lives as well for Israel. We are told to "not let the sun go down on our wrath lest we give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:26-27).

While the LORD has set watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem (Isaiah 62:6) He expects the watchmen to repair the gaps. Twice the LORD says in Ezekiel that the prophets were not doing their job of wall building. In Ezekiel 13:4-5, He says that the walls need to be repaired so they"will stand firm in the battle on the day of the LORD." (NIV)

In Ezekiel 22:30, the LORD says He was seeking for someone to stand in the gap so that He could show the nation mercy. It doesn't say fill the gap but stand in it, and in Hebrew it literally means to become the wall, "on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it" (NIV).

The enemy knows the importance of this, so he will try to discourage us in an effort to move us from our position. It is essential to be where God has called each of us when He calls, without envy or jealousy of when and where others may be called to stand.

Prepare for the Harvest

In the psalm, David is reaching for God's presence, His teaching and His mercy. Appropriate to the current rumors of war David also confesses his confidence in the LORD's protection:
The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3, NIV)
I sense the LORD saying that He will allow the shaking of warfare and that it will bring in a harvest. So how do we prepare for this? Not by panicking or running away, nor by forcing our positioning on others. Each of us needs to be where God's wants us to be.

We need to be listening and trusting in His timing... and waiting. David reminds us: "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." (Psalm 27:14, NIV)

MorningStar Prophetic Alert & Call to Prayer

Introduction: This is a call to prayer from a reliable intercessor leader, about an issue that would affect the Pacific Northwest as it affected other areas of the region. We've shared the with a handful of prophetic intercessors in the Northwest and we're getting confirmation back.

A brief word of explanation: when God reveals the enemy's plans like this, it's as if He's saying, "This is what is planned now. Do you approve this, or will you change these plans?" (Refer to Genesis 18:16-33 for another example)

Please join me in changing the plans.

As the Lord gives you additional insight, please feel free to forward it to northwestprophetic(at)gmail.com.

For your prayerful consideration...
"Dear Friends of MorningStar,

In the last twelve hours, four intercessors have contacted me regarding prophetic alerts of violence and/or war. This actually fits in with other alerts that have come in separately, including one last week that had "global impact."

We are not sure where this pertains to, but there is a common theme of being asleep or not prepared causing injuries.

The Lord has raised up this network for such a time as this. Please pray and seek the Lord, and if He shows you anything, please share it with me. I will put the pieces together so that we can pray more effectively.

If there is anything I know, it is how powerful this combined force is! Do not underestimate the power of our praise, prayer, intercession, declarations, and decrees. We CAN avert danger where ever it is planned. Whatever is in the heart of God, we CAN bring it forth in the earth.

So, let's stir ourselves up in our most holy faith and avail ourselves to the Most High God that we may be His watchmen, His gatekeepers, and His warriors. You know your post. Run to it now.

I bless you and pray that the God of peace will saturate you with His peace and that His authority and dominion will prevail over the plans of the evil one. Remember who you are in Christ, and who He is in you!

Friends,

The confirmations are rolling in concerning this alert of brewing violence and/or war.

Please keep seeking the Lord, and continue to pray. There is more to this puzzle, and even more I'd like to share, but for now let's officially consider our alert level raised.

Something is brewing, and the Lord wants us to know about it. Let's find out what He wants us to do about it.

The Watchman's Taruah

Our first stop in the United States this past summer was in Oregon, where we were invited to a conference called "Love for Israel", with the main theme being "The Watchman". As we were examining the scriptures to use for our breakout session, YHVH led us to Habakkuk 2:1-2: "I will stand on my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to [literally "in"] me, and what I will answer when I am reproved. Then YHVH answered me and said: 'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he who reads it may run".

The watchman comes up with this statement against the backdrop of Chapter One, where we find him observing what is taking place in his own backyard, with hostility, iniquity, wickedness, strife, contention, lawlessness, and perverted justice being commonplace (see vs 1-4). But instead of attending to his task, the bewildered watchman lodges his complaint before YHVH, who apparently is not being moved by this evil. However, YHVH is about to address His messenger's grievance, but will do so in an unexpected manner. Thus He proceeds to declare: "Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days-- You would not believe if you were told" (1:5).

YHVH then goes on to describe in detail the astonishing phenomenon to which He had just alluded, that is, the "Chaldeans" whom He had been raising up. In today's geopolitical terms the land of the Chaldeans is the heartland of Islam. Here is how YHVH depicts this people group: "… fierce and impetuous people who march throughout the earth to seize dwelling places which are not theirs. They are dreaded and feared. Their justice and authority originate with themselves. All of them come for violence ("hamas"). They collect captives like sand. They mock at kings, and rulers are a laughing matter to them. They laugh at every fortress… (1:6-10). Responding to this prediction, the prophet/watchmen intones: "You, O YHVH, have appointed them to judge; and You, O Rock, have established them to correct…" (v. 12b). The watchman is now gaining understanding how the Judge of Israel will be dealing with His people who have strayed from His ways.

These "Chaldeans" are portrayed as hunters who are laying nets in order to capture their pray: "They take up all of them with a hook, They catch them in their net, and gather them in their dragnet. Therefore they rejoice and are glad. Therefore they sacrifice to their net, and burn incense to their dragnet…Will they therefore empty their net and continually slay nations without sparing?" (1:15-17 emphasis mine). The Hebrew word for "net" here is "cherem", being the very word that is used in Malachi 4:6: "And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children [Heb. – "sons"], and the hearts of the children [Heb. – "sons"] to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a "cherem" [generally translated "curse"].

Interestingly, the watchman, as he is described in Chapter Two verses 1-2 is watching to hear what YHVH would speak ("into him", as mentioned above). How does one watch to hear? Obviously YHVH is putting his messenger through a season of training. To be well prepared for his task he needs to become one with the vision. In fact, he is also being reproved, so that he would become the very "proof" of this vision (similarly, "proof" is also embedded within the Hebrew noun used here for "reproof"). Therefore when time comes for passing on the message, there will be an impartation, or infusion, of the vision. The vision will be so clear, that there will be no guessing as to what is being seen and heard. What's more, in the injunction of making the message "plain on tablets" (2:2) is a hidden reference to the Torah, as if YHVH is responding to the prophet's earlier complaint, "the Torah is ignored" (1:4). "Making plain" is "ba'er", which is used only in Deuteronomy 1:5 and 27:8, in both cases in relationship to Moses expounding on the Torah. The verb b.e.r. shares its root with the noun "be'er", which is a "well". Thus, the elucidated words of the Torah are likened to deep and thirst-quenching water. Additionally, the watchman is told to inscribe these Torah-based words on "lu'chot", tablets, the very same word used for the tablets that Moses brought down from the Mountain, as well as for the "tablets of the heart" (ref. Is. 30:8; Jer.17:1). Could these references to Torah also have something to do with the above-mentioned Malachi 4:4, where YHVH charges His people to remember the Torah of Moses and its commands and warns of the consequences of turning away from them?

Once the watchman is fully prepared to pass on the vision, "the one who reads it may run" (2:2b) with a good cause, because he is to issue a warning to YHVH's people, to turn from their evil and wicked ways. Hence they are described as"… the proud one, his soul is not right within him…Furthermore, wine betrays the haughty man, so that he does not stay at home. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, and he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nations and collects to himself all peoples. Will not all of these take up a taunt-song against him, even mockery and insinuations against him, and say, 'Woe to him who increases what is not his-- For how long-- and makes himself rich with loans?' Will not your creditors rise up suddenly, and those who collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them. Because you have looted many nations, all the remainder of the peoples will loot you-- Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, to the town and all its inhabitants. Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house to put his nest on high to be delivered from the hand of calamity! You have devised a shameful thing for your house by cutting off many peoples; so you are sinning against yourself" (Hab. 2:5-10). This text is quite descriptive of what have been standard practices within the Judeo-Christian nations. The prophet Jeremiah warns that YHVH will first send the fishers, and then the hunters (ref. Jeremiah 16:16), which is once again a reference to Islam, as both Ishmael and Esau were hunters.

Will Ephraim, who has been dubbed "a watchman with my Elohim, a prophet;" (Hosea 9:8), pick up the mantle and follow through? Or will he be "a snare of a fowler in all his ways, [with] hatred in the house of his Elohim" (cont. Hos. 8)? Will he be the watchman/guard on Mount Ephraim who calls out, "let us go to Zion to YHVH our Elohim" (Jer. 31:6)? Or will he be likened to the "blind watchmen" and the "dumb dogs" who are "greedy" and "not satisfied" (Is. 56:10,11), much like those who were described above in Habbakuk 2:6,8,9 and 10?

At the Portland conference Ezekiel 33:7 was used as a launching pad: "Son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me". These words are couched in the following solemn context: "Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: 'When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet [shofar] and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet [shofar] and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet [shofar], but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet [shofar] , and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand" (Ezekiel 33:2-6).

On this Yom Teruah may the watchmen attend to their task and stand on the ramparts with the silver trumpets and shofars and blow a clear and distinct call to repentance (Daniel 9: 4-19; Nehemiah 1: 5-11; Nehemiah 9: 5-38)!

With a very sobering Shabbat Shalom and Chag Same'ach,

Preparing For The Coming Move Of God

This season will be a time of advancement and acceleration with shocking swiftness. The shift has already begun and you can feel the change in the air. It is surely not business as usual.

The Spirit of God will set things in order, releasing authority. There has come a "fullness of time" moment in the realm of the Spirit. Heaven is declaring, "No hesitation!" It is time for "advancement." Heaven's hosts stand ready to move, aiding all who seek to establish the King in His Kingdom. The Spirit of God is, at this point in time, restoring a "divine statement" to the Body of Christ. This statement has been used in our day in a most casual manner; however, what is coming will correct this error. The statement is, "Thus saith the Lord!"

The Lord is revealing more about the throne of God and the God of the throne during this period of time. Now is the time to eat the hidden manna of Revelation 2:17 "The eyes of the Lord have been searching for a people with a pure heart and upright motives in order to show Himself strong on their behalf." (2 Chronicles 16:9) It is time for bold believers to volunteer. These instructions are found in Psalms 110:3 " In the day of God's power, His troops will volunteer willingly."

The Spirit of the Lord is calling for the army of the Lord to arise--to take hold of the Kingdom, knowing that "greater is He that resides within us than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4) This is not a time to be weak and timid but rather a time to be strong in the power and might of the Lord.

Heaven, as well as hell, is posing the exact same question to Christians. The question is, "Who do you think you are?" The Spirit of Truth will release clear understanding of who we are in Christ and Who Christ is in us. What will be accomplished will not happen by our might or by our human zeal but only by the power of God's Spirit. "This is the word of the LORD saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts." (Zechariah 4:6)

Overcoming Witchcraft

God will release power to overcome the witchcraft of Galatians 3:1-3. We must overcome the impulse to attempt to finish in the flesh what God has begun in the Spirit. This is a great offence to God--our attempting to substitute human zeal for heaven's anointing.

Coming Breakthroughs

The Body of Christ will experience awesome breakthroughs in many different areas such as music and the arts. Soul winning will become a major heartbeat of the Church. Battles will increase but with awesome victories. The Church will enjoy unity and restoration, resulting in displays of grace and power. We will see Psalms 133:1-3 come to pass as "brethren dwell together in unity." This powerful new unity will give us confidence to expect more from the Lord.

The Spirit of the Lord will fully support those with right motives and strengthen all that they are doing. If we become truly accountable, we can then be trusted with more true authority. Christ Jesus will find faithful stewards, who will be entrusted with more. These stewards will walk in integrity, pursuing peace and purity.

The Lord spoke to me, "If I can find a people without mixture, I will pour out My power without measure." There will emerge a group of "overcomers" walking in true Kingdom power. (See Revelation 3:20-22) We must be contenders and defenders of the faith (see Jude 1: 2-3) to avoid seeing the acts of the apostate rather than the Acts of the Apostles.

In a vivid prophetic experience, the Spirit of the Lord spoke these encouraging words to me:

· Accept No Imitations!

· Expect No Limitations!

· Embrace Infinite Possibilities!

As we aspire to make these three areas a living reality in our lives, God will launch the Church into a much higher level of faith and power. So what does this mean?

Accept No Imitations

The words "artificial," "counterfeit" and "synthetic" help us to grasp a better understanding of the word "imitation." I once asked the president of a leading bank, "How do you detect a "counterfeit" bill?" He replied, "By having someone that is accustomed to handling "the real" touch it."

This is why the body of Christ must have true intimacy with Jesus. We must become so accustomed to His voice that we are not moved by the enticing voices of strangers. (See John 10:3-5) Why? Because we cannot continue to spend our lives for that which is worthless wood, hay and stubble.

The Emerging Zadok Priesthood

Recently I observed the sky as rain clouds began to form. I could see them approaching--moving swiftly across the sky. I could hear the rumble of thunder as they began to release the much needed rain. It seemed the drops were some of the largest I had ever seen. The sound of the heavy rain pounding upon the earth was extremely loud. However, the sound of the falling rain seemed to be releasing a harmony or pulse beat like that of a huge heartbeat.

The Lord said, "It is the rain of anointed teaching I am releasing through the emerging Zadok priesthood." These anointed priests will begin to authenticate that which is holy, and divulge that which is profane, by imparting rather than informing. (See Ezekiel 44:23)

The goal of the Spirit of Truth--to establish each one of us in truth--is our only method of sanctification. It is time to take a stand for righteousness and holiness. Grace is not a license to live loosely. Have you drifted far from the calling to stand for truth and righteousness in order to appear politically correct? Let those who would be vessels of honor return to true holiness of heart. This will allow us to be sanctified in truth and be presentable to the Lord as consecrated vessels. In order for true freedom to reign, we must teach the truth--the difference between the holy and the profane, and the difference between the clean and the unclean.

What is the difference between the profane and the holy? In a strong prophetic experience, the Lord spoke to me revealing His definition of "profane" as anything man is doing that He did not initiate. Remember the words of Christ Jesus when He said, "Depart from Me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you..." He spoke these words to those who had been immersed in religious activity without truly trusting Christ. (See Matthew 13:27) Christ JesusJohn 17:1) commanded, "Sanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth."

Believers must lead upright lives characterized by genuine, authentic lifestyles of faith. "The walk must match the talk" if we are to carry a message that will legitimately change lives. The fundamental purpose of the Zadok priesthood was to minister unto the Lord as described in Ezekiel 44. As a reward for their faithfulness, they were allowed to draw closer to God. (See Ezekiel 44:15-16)

The Blessing of Correction

Many Christians feel a sense of disorientation at this time as a result of spending a season upon the "Potter's" wheel. We are in a time of transition which will produce transformation. The Potter's hand is molding the clay. Our responsibility is to remain yielded upon the Master's wheel. If you try to mold yourself, you will become dry and brittle and ultimately broken and remolded. Stay moist and surrendered.

Emerging leaders, and their ministries, are enduring seasons of sifting and pruning. The refiner's fire is forging their character to carry this unique anointing so that the anointing will not be lost, nor the vessels damaged or destroyed for lack of character. They will be the leaders and counselors who will not judge by what their eyes see or what their ears hear, but in true righteousness they will make decisions resulting in equity and justice. It will be a true impartation of the divine nature and holy character established in the spirit and soul of the Lord's leadership.

Remember God's promise, "If I can find a people without mixture, I will pour out my power without measure." Embrace purity, the identifying mark of a child of God.

The Spirit of Truth--the Holy Spirit--is calling each Christian to walk like a true Zadok priest. These priests maintained and modeled the highest standard of morality, self-control, and self-denial in

Israel

Their lifestyle taught the people how to distinguish between the godly and ungodly. (See Ezekiel 44:15-23)

Many today are actually walking in deception because they do not know that they have departed from the true path of righteousness. Some are even aware of wandering, but choose to deny the fact that they have turned away from Jesus, their first love. We must face our artificial allegiance to Christ, and become authentic and unadulterated in our walk with Christ. The prophetic promise of 2 Corinthians 7:1 is about to become a living reality.

Expect No Limitations

"Is there anything too hard for the LORD?" (Genesis 18:14) The prophet JeremiahJeremiah 32:17) answers this question stating, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, thou hast made the Heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee."

Our cry should be, "God, nothing is impossible with You!" (Luke 1:37) If we expect more, God will release more. Let's pray for faith that moves the hand of God. (See Mark 11:21-24) Now is the time to think big because God can do anything. It is time to expect more, believe for more, and ask for more. Paul the apostle reminded us that "God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we could ask or think according to the power that is at work within each of us." (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Kathryn Kuhlman said, "The only limit to the power of God lies within the individual.... It is when active faith dares to believe God to the point of action that something has to happen."

Embrace Infinite Possibilities

Embracing requires reaching out, taking hold, and bringing something near. There is no such thing as a distant embrace. We cannot embrace this coming move of God at a distance. God is calling each of us to draw nearer to Him, to come aside to know His heart, to be still and know that He is the Lord. As we behold His face, He will change us into His divine image. (See 2 Corinthians 3:18) So meditate upon these promises. If we will accept no imitation and walk in unadulterated union with Christ, then we can expect no limitations. Now is the time to embrace these infinite possibilities.

How To Attain The Lord's Help

The cry of a desperate heart is clearly heard in Psalms 42. We discover several keys in this passage for attaining the much-needed help of God. Notice in verse five, "I will praise Him for the help of His countenance." Then in verse 11, we see the help of our countenance.
