I Can See Clearly Now: Doug Addison on 2014

Expect things to clear up

If things don't seem all that clear right now, don't worry. February’s uncertain times will become clearer towards the end of the month. Clarity is coming and some new radical positive events will start happening in March. Expect to see the clouds lift by the end of the month while God pours out encouragement in March through April.

Attacks of 2013 become authority
What were your struggles and how did the enemy attack you in 2013? Your attack in 2013 is the area of your new authority this year. In many cases, the enemy overplayed his hand against you and 2013 was about trying to get you to quit.

For those who stuck with it, God is giving new levels of authority and anointing. But there is a key to this new promotion this year: we must get rid of accusations against others. God is releasing new anointing and authority to those who are humble and able to love others.

A key verse for this time is Matthew 7:12 “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”

God spoke to me that if you have anything against someone else, it is time to put it behind you. Especially if you are holding evidence saved to prove you are right. Let it go. It's time to trust God to fight your battles and let go of any grievances because they will disqualify you from promotions this year.

New ideas and inventions
I had a prophetic dream this month that God is releasing from Heaven new strategies, ideas and inventions right now. I was standing next to an angel and suddenly a high-tech umbrella appeared in my hand that not only shielded me from the elements but also had a mist of refreshment falling down on the inside. The dream means that God’s angels will shield us while bringing a creative, inventive spirit. When we are protected by God, new divine strategies and inventions create Kingdom finances even through tough times.

I also had several dreams of violent weather. God is saying do not worry about how things look but trust that God will open up opportunities to be blessed in any situation.

God gave Isaac a strategy to reap a hundred times during a terrible famine.

“Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.” Genesis 26:12

In every downturn there's always a way to reap. Ask God for eyes to see what you can do right now in your situation.

Super Bowl score
Even though the Super Bowl was not that super this year, unless you are a Seattle Seahawks fan, the final score was intriguing to me. I felt it was significant and knew that again, like last year, it was not intended to say that God is judging.

Taking a look at the final score, Seahawks 43 to Broncos 8, God led me to some powerful verses packed in Isaiah 43 which many of us know. Here God brings comfort during rough times, forming us into people of godly character, able to lead others by following Holy Spirit into new things (Isaiah 43: 1-2, 5-8 and 18-19).

Check out the verse corresponding the final score, 43-8 to Isaiah 43:8.

“Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.” Isaiah 43:8 NIV

God is opening people’s eyes and ears. People who have no idea about the power of His Spirit will be lead by those called by God’s name. Like the power of God’s spirit, who helped deaf Seahawks fullback, Derrick Coleman, who “stuck with it” and despite his disability, gained much new authority.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19

God’s challenge in the game of life is to take comfort during character-forming times. Your heart’s re-shaping helps you and others show God’s awesome goodness. Read through the entire chapter of Isaiah 43 because it is packed full of promises from God to pray into your life.

New type of religious spirit
I was featured in Darren Wilson’s documentary, Father of Lights. In the film, we were doing outreach on Venice Beach but a group of highly religious, judgmental sign carriers, a.k.a. Bible Thumpers, were shutting down the spiritual atmosphere.

I prayed and blessed the guy with one of the angry signs. When we think of religious spirits, usually we think of this group. But God showed me there is a new type of religious spirit that is being released in the Church today.

This new type of religious spirit is now active in charismatic and evangelical Christians. Many people that are operating in this new covert legalistic spirit believe they are truly nonreligious. In reality, they are falling into judgment.

When God does something new, quite often the previous movement is judgmental towards it. This is repeated throughout church history. God is doing something new right now to draw in people who have been rejected by Christianity. I have been encouraging people everywhere to embrace anyone who needs God and not judge them.

Before we can help others, we must ask God to look at our own hearts and see if there is any judgment against others.

I've been praying a prayer for a while, “God, show me what the enemy does not want me to see about myself.” And also, “God, reveal to me anything I might have in my heart towards others.” As we get rid of judgment, we are better able to embrace people who are different than us.

Let’s pray together that God would help us be more persistent so we can “stay in it.” And we would have judgment-free eyes to see clearly and find new ways to hear how to use our new authority to touch many.

2014 The Year of Recovery and Discovery

A Fruitful Year Indeed

As I was praying for the Word of the Lord for 2014, I saw Two Hands break-through the clouds and reach out over the Earth. Hands speak of power, the Power of God manifest. On one Hand was the word “Recovery,” and on the other hand was the word “Discovery.” One hand was reaching back and the other hand was reaching forward. Then the Spirit of the Lord said, “It will be a Fruitful Year Indeed.”

2014 Will be The Year of Recovery and Discovery

Let me first share about the word Recovery and how it applies to you and the world. This was the Hand that was “reaching back.” There will be a substantial turn around of the world economy in 2014. The economies in the USA, Europe, Canada and Mexico, to name a few, will see a significant breakthrough in their economies. The outlook is turning positive, and many that are willing to take risk, will benefit.

A Recovery of That which was Lost

The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me that there will be a “Recovery of that which was Lost.” Things and People that have been lost will be found and restored back to their rightful place, position or owner. As a Prophetic sign, many will recover “lost objects,” like rings and watches and coins. Much of that which was lost in the Great Recession will be recovered. There is an anointing to “Break-In” and take back what the devil stole. God will give Divine Strategies for recovery to those who wait upon Him. And the Lord gives me 1 Sam.30:8, what God said to David, is for you! “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

The Mercy and Love of God will be so evident to those that have repented, concerning that which they had lost in their own foolishness or disobedience. Much will be restored back to them. Joel 2:25 & 26:

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the Name of the Lord Who has dealt wondrously with you.”

The Lost will be Found

Many people will “Find their way out of the Maize” and say, I can see clearly now, for in the recovery, confusion will be broken. Direction will come, Faith will arise again. Many people will “Lock In” to their purpose in 2014.

Lazarus will come Forth

For those who thought it was all over, for those who thought it was dead, for those who said it is too late now, God will raise up for His glory. Yes, the dead will be raised in this recovery, dead ministries will come forth out of the caves and out of the graves and go forth in power.

Hope that was lost will now be found. Addictions will also be broken in 2014. This is what has destroyed many lives over the past years. But a Divine exchange to an addiction to the “Most High” will take place. There is an anointing to Break-Off that which binds, and to be released from strongholds.

A Time of Discovery is Here

The Spirit of the Lord will take you “Beyond the Boundaries” of what you know in 2014. Each year we discover that the Universe is much bigger than we had imagined. If the Heavens declare the Glory of God, then the Heavens themselves could be beyond measure, infinite, as the Glory of the Lord is beyond measure. Your world is about to become a bigger place. Break on through to the other side. This is a Quantum Leap year in knowledge. Many will grab hold of truth that they could not understand before. The creative power of God will be revealed in many avenues of knowledge. The Glory of the Lord will be revealed, and the Saints will explore these new realms of Glory, in a continual flow of revelation and deeper understanding.

God is “Expanding our Horizons” in 2014 beyond logic, as His glory, many times, breaks the rules and the laws of science and nature. 2014 will be a “mind blowing year” with inventions and innovations. This is also a Time of Acceleration, a busy Year where much is revealed, much is accomplished, as you go about your Father’s business. Scientific Breakthroughs will come, Technological Breakthroughs will come, and Medical Breakthroughs will come. Death and sickness will be dealt a blow in 2014.

“A Fruitful Year Indeed”

The Spirit of the Lord says, “Those who sow the seed will reap the harvest, those who tend the ground will reap of the fruit of the ground.”

Abba will make you fruitful in 2014. 2014 is a Year of Increase. Abba will make you fruitful in 2014. There are “Times of Famine” and there are “Times of Plenty” mentioned in the Bible. We are now entering into “Years of Plenty.”

There will be a strong emphasis on the “Fruit of the Spirit” in 2014

As a shopper goes through the vegetable section looking upon the fruit, first they are looking for Quality before they are looking at Quantity. So the Church will see in 2014, that the “Glory of God” which is described in Exodus 33:18-20, Ex. 34:5-7 is first about “Who He Is” before it mentions “What He Does.” 

The “refiners fire” will burn in passion and love in 2014 to make God’s people ready for quality fruit. And so the “Fruit of the Spirit”, the Character, will be emphasized before the Power. It is who you are that is more important than what you do. This Purity will bring forth a “Power Enhancement,” in expressing the Heart of God in Spirit and in Truth. The result will be Fruit By His Glory, For His Glory, and Of His Glory. We are entering into a “Fruitful Season” (Acts 14:17) believe it, confess it, and act upon it. A time of increase and breakthrough is here for you.

You should ask yourselves: “How do the words Recovery and Discovery apply to my own life and circumstances?” I declare over you that 2014 will be a Year of Recovery and Discovery for you, a Fruitful Year, A Year of Joy, that comes with the Harvest and His Manifest Presence, and Knowing that you are Loved by Him!

Prophetic Word for the Northwest: Johnny Enlow

As I was in Tacoma, Washington the first week of October, the Lord spoke to my spirit. I could perceive the region being pregnant with destiny and there has been a generational build-up that is now ready to be manifested in this age of the restoration of all things. I saw that the Northwest was poised as a pull-tab to open up the nation to a fresh wind of healing. This was not just on the US side of the border but encompasses a large area with the US cities of Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Portland and the Canadian cities of Vancouver, Abbotsford and Kelowna – and all areas in between – being part of this, where the breath of God will now blow.
   

I believe the archangel Raphael, meaning “God heals,” is the great angel of the mountain of family, and is presently very active over this region with literally millions of newly released angels. This region has historically had seasons of great healing ministries and movements but this next wind is something that will go beyond that. The region will now host and release that which heals people, families, cities and nations. 

Oaks of righteousness will arise from this area and the leaves on their trees will be for the healing of the nations. The spirit of Elijah that turns the hearts of the sons to the fathers and the hearts of the fathers to their sons, will be greatly released from this area. In the spirit realm this northwest region is one giant eagles nest and this will now begin to be revealed more and more. Eagles will gather and eagles will be released. The eagles have been hindered by Jezebel and the Religious Spirit but with the new angelic help will they will now arise and shake off the disorientation, confusion and gloom that has affected them from the demonic realm.
  

The spirit of Elijah restores and brings healing at every level. We can see that healing only bodies from natural illnesses is not a thorough enough level of healing. Bodies continue to get sick as long as family structures remain primarily fractured. New revelation on how to heal families and on how to heal emotional wounds brought on by broken families will come to and from this region. However, it will not only be new healing information but it will really be revelation from heaven that in an instant set’s the captives free. 
   
Family wounds will no longer take years of counseling and digging to find healing- but this spirit of Elijah will carry such a new measure of the Father’s love that it will be as in the days of Jesus – where He could touch the most broken in society and almost overnight have them functioning in destiny.

The spirit of Elijah will show up in a wide range of manners but its purpose in every manifestation will be to bring healing. It will be released by the laying on of hands, through books, through government family structures, through counseling centers and a new music will arise that will carry great healing. ‘Pied Pipers’ of society will arise out of this region carrying a sound that will reach deep into the hearts of the listeners. Some of this music will not be considered ‘Christian’ but will still carry the Father’s healing heart and power.

I saw also great swirls of creativity over the region and a new wave is coming in that will impact all the mountains of society. New ways of doing things will explode all over. New trends will start and go national and many will go global. New music. New fashions. New technologies. New church models. New eateries and coffee houses. New ways of doing business. Something about all this creativity will still be connected to the spirit of Elijah and so it will be that which serves the purpose of connectivedness and community and the societal healing that is brought on via this means.

The recent record rains in the Seattle area are a sign that He will now arise through the “Noahs” and the “arks” that have been in preparatory process for such a time as this. The rising ‘waters’ will not be destruction but it will be that which is designed to raise the level of living. Even as the ark rested on Mt. Ararat (“the curse reversed”) so too, will this all tend towards reversing curses and restoring a higher level of living.

Let the Northwest Gate be fully opened to Heaven!

Fresh Wind for a Fresh Harvest

I am coming soon to breathe a fresh wind on the Northwest. Many have said “I’m tired of the same thing every week” and “I’m ready for something new.” I am breathing new life into the churches throughout the region, and a fresh wind of creativity will uplift spirits. Do not expect things to happen in the old ways, the ways that have worked before. I am doing a new thing, and I want to reveal my ways and my will in new and creative ways.

This will require questioning ideas and beliefs that you have assumed to be correct for a long time, and it will require grace and patience as you watch others struggling through belief systems and transitioning in understanding of my Grace. For my grace is boundless, and reaches far beyond what you have learned in Sunday School. I am doing a new thing and bringing a new paradigm to my people in this hour. This new paradigm shift will help position you for the billion soul harvest that you have been preparing for, and you will not quite be ready until you receive my thoughts and my ways. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are my thoughts above your thoughts, and my ways above your ways. Come up here and sit with me awhile, and I will share my thoughts and my ways with you, and I will give you blueprints of things to come.

I am preparing my bride to be spotless and pure, to be ready for all things in the days to come, and to be a shining light, burning brightly in the darkness that is ahead. And when I say darkness, do not fear death, calamity, or destruction. For the darkness I see most is the darkness in men’s hearts, darkness that hides my truth and seeks to keep mankind in bondage to the Law. See now that I have already set you free from the Law, and have brought about the new way of living by my Spirit. I am bringing a new revelation of the depths of what my Son purchased on the Cross, and am raising up a new generation of speakers who will share this revelation with My Church. I am not speaking in terms of ages, in that it will be a young generation of speakers I am raising up. No, I am speaking of a new generation of speakers from a perspective of the old having gone and the new having come. I am doing a new thing, and I am giving the revelation to a new group of people. I have had a people kept in hiddenness for this very time, those who have been hearing my voice and my leading in a new way.

Be aware that I am not saying that I am somehow a different God, but I AM saying that I am bringing new revelation and new understanding. Things that have been good in the past will no longer serve you as I bring about a new understanding that trumps the old. The old will simply be of no use or no value, in the same way that an old wineskin destroys new wine. You cannot expect to successfully mix the old wineskin and the new wine that I am bringing. For those who have been praying for the new wineskin, continue to diligently pray and diligently search. In the same way that my sheep know my voice, you will know the new when it comes before you, and you will know to follow my voice above the voices of all others.

When you hear my voice, do not turn aside from it and follow the wisdom of man. Many who have walked in my ways in the past, and whom I have genuinely given revelation to, will question my voice in this hour. You must follow my leading and not theirs, as I have said again that I am doing a NEW thing. It will not look like the things of the past, but it will look like my Son. Know that as long as you seek to know my Son and seek to hear My voice, I will not put the voice of Another in your path. I will lead you in paths of righteousness for My Name’s sake, and you will dwell in my house forever.

June 8-12 is a Strategic Time

Last December God spoke to me that 2011 will be strategic, and we will begin moving into more clarity about our destinies as God is shifting our assignments. New life will come in June and by September 2011 things we have longed for will begin to take shape.

We are heading into a strategic time as God is sending out invitations to go deeper and experience more of Him. This will require that we streamline our lives and be flexible. What we do this year will set the pace for the next several years.

The enemy has been attacking us in the area of "spiritual identity theft." Many have gotten off-track from their specific uniqueness' as individuals, ministries, churches, and businesses. We will need to go beyond the things that we are good at doing and focus on what we do the best. We are being released from our old assignments from God and we need to take steps towards our new assignments.

June 8-12 is a Strategic Time

This year Passover to Pentecost takes place from April 25-June 8. It is an amazing time of Heavenly interaction and activity. The Jewish Feast of Pentecost ends June 8 and the Christian celebration is June 12. God spoke to me about significant "positive" events that will take place during this time. Watch for new things to begin happening June 8-12.

What will happen during the dates June 8-12 is similar to Isaiah 6:8-10:

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" He said, "Go and tell this people: "‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.' Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."

New Assignments Now Available

This is where Isaiah encountered God and received his new assignment. It was also a time in which some people thought they were hearing God but they were not hearing clearly or understanding Him. God is opening the spiritual ears and eyes of those who are looking to Him for their destiny.

God is asking many people to go on assignments that He would not normally have to ask them to accept. There has been an excessive amount of people who have fallen into complacency and therefore their callings and destinies are available to people who will say yes. New assignments along with the anointing and financial provision needed for those assignments are now available to people who will say yes to God.

ATM Cards from Heaven

I saw "spiritual ATM cards" being issued to people for "Angelic Teller Machines". God is assigning angels that will make finances and favor available from June 8 through September 30 (Pentecost – Rosh Hashanah). This is a specific time that people are going to reap what they have previously sown. In other words, we are in a time right now that we are receiving from God because of things that we have done and given to over the past nine years (2001-2011).

The amount of grace and blessing being received right now will not seem to make sense to some because it is coming as back-payment for previous losses.

Plan Now for the Future Assignments

Don't assume the amount of blessing you are receiving from June to September will continue at the same high velocity. So don't just think you can camp in the flow of blessing, you will still need to be wise and position yourself to get the new promotions coming after September. Begin planning now by watching for new opportunities.

New Grace Over Hollywood

I also heard a prophetic word that God has extended seven years of new grace and mercy over Hollywood and the entertainment industry as new media projects will arise. We will begin to see a rise of positive movies and music but simultaneously the enemy will try to combat this with an increase in demonic and witchcraft themes that will try to stop what God is doing.

Floodgates Opening

I keep having dreams that the floodgates of water have been opened and that the level of the supernatural is rising. I keep seeing reservoirs that are almost full and beginning to spill over. We are seeing news of areas in the U.S. where floodgates are being opened because of the large amount of rain and snow-melt. This is symbolic of the new levels of blessing, strategies and assignments that are being released from Heaven and the paradigm for new types of ministries, businesses and media projects that are beginning to unfold.

It is time to be willing to take risks and move forward with more confidence in the things that God is directing you to do. "Here I am Lord, send me!"

I'm Removing the Scales From Your Eyes

The Spirit of God says, “I’m Removing The Scales From Your Eyes”

“There haven’t been enough of My people I’ve prompted by My Spirit properly released into ministry. Yes, it’s true they’ve been edified by hearing and studying My word, but they also sincerely crave encouragement and nurturing. I’ve placed those desires in My people, and My desires are now crying out from within My people. Even silently some are crying out and many have thought it all was in vain. It hasn’t been in vain! I still hear their internal, silent cries. I’ve heard the cries of My people, just as they cried out to Me in the desert. Go ahead, cry unto Me, for it shall be for My Glory that I will move on your behalf. My Sovereign appearances aren’t only temporary. They’re My eternal promises being fulfilled,” says the Spirit of God.

As ambassadors for Christ, may we in our various trials, continue to learn to forcefully advance through the similar experiences Israel learned from in the desert. Many times we tend to faint in well doing because of repetitive disobedience in our hearts. Even in this very hour, may we begin to cry out more to our God of Heaven to guide and help us to walk more obedient to His ways.

Exodus 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

The Spirit of God says, “There are far too many of My precious people sitting in pews, thinking and waiting for men and women of God to approve them. That’s only half the story, I the God of truth say My people in Christ are already approved by what I did through My Son on the cross. My Son Jesus is The Man of Approval, and the ONLY Man you’re all approved by, through His blood-work.”

We’ve also had for too years many people leaving churches because there really haven’t been enough calls into the ministry from within the body to the corporate body of Christ. There needs to be more ministry calls, honoring, recognizing and identifying the gifts and callings that God has so freely given in His church. Unfortunately, sometimes when God’s people do choose to leave fellowships, they leave offended; and when they do, they take a spirit of offense along with them. Many have thought God has called them into full-time ministry, and He has and wants more of His people in full-time ministry. However, a condition of destabilization from within the corporate body can arise when God’s people do leave church fellowships prematurely. Many become dangerously vulnerable because of going off unprepared for the battle at hand.

"Wait for your appointing," says the Spirit of God.

Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

It’s awesome to be released into various mission fields, but may we forcefully advance with Godly attitudes that say, “What can we do to help the lost?” or even, “We’d like to be a blessing to our city, state and to the nations. How do we proceed?” God’s true desire is to send out His people from within His church. May we all begin this day to learn the vital importance of staying connected in loving relationships to the leaders who have loved us enough to direct, teach, and even correct us in the ways of Jesus.

The Spirit of God says, “Time is short, train my people up quickly and send them out by and in the Power of My Spirit.”

Whatever our calling from God into ministry unto Him may be, - large or small - it’s vitally important to pursue that call with everything that is within us. I’m reminded of the manner in which we’re to love God, with all of our soul, body and strength, as well as the obedience that we’re to walk in as we complete all of the mandates He’s called us to perform in the earth. May we all follow through in our Calls unto God with His gifts that He’s so graciously bestowed upon us in Christ.

Acts 19: 8, 10 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

"There needs to be restoration of unbroken fellowship," says the Spirit of God.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Have we ever wondered what it is when we walk into some fellowships and we discern all eyes and ears are upon us? Could it be a spirit of judgment, haughtiness or even worse, elitism? In these times we may need to ask ourselves a question or two. Is this just me? Am I reaping what I’ve sown? There just might be some truth to that. All I know is the joy of the Lord needs to definitely come back into the forefront of today’s modern church. The joy of God that says, “I love you no matter what you’ve done.”

Galatians 5:22, 23 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

If we were all totally honest with one another, we’d own up to the fact that we don’t love all people, especially the people in today’s church. I’m completely aware of the fact that most people don’t like each other within the church today. I’m saddened by it, but what can we do as believers in Christ except to say an occasional prayer for and with one another?

We might want to ask ourselves these questions: A I really outwardly expressing the love of Christ to the future forerunners that are coming up into public ministry? Are I showing God’s love to the extremely radical ones enough to go to them and say something in a spirit of meekness when we may think they seem to be missing the mark? May we all begin to love people as Jesus loves us, unconditionally.

“Draw them by My love,” says the Spirit of God.

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.

The Spirit of God says, "I’m removing the scales from your eyes."

Saul, the persecutor, who became known as Paul, the Apostle, had a life altering experience during his Damascus road encounter with God. Let us all not have a need to be knocked off of our horses of stubbornness to recognize that God is attempting to inform us of our bad behavioral patterns. Personally, in the Spirit, I would much rather prefer a ride on a fiery chariot with the Lord Jesus. Just as Saul had scales upon his eyes from his Damascus adventure, God is now exposing our spiritual blindness to all of us.

The Spirit of God says, “A new clarity is coming to My people, I’m removing their scales that have blurred My realities from many of My people’s eye sight. Let Me take the blinders off.”

Tomorrow and Chicks

The Lord breathed His breath of life on me in these two dreams I received this last spring:

I dreamed that I was very pregnant, gravid with child, so to speak. The birth was expected tomorrow. I was looking at live pictures of the baby in the womb and it was large and all ready to come. I was surprised to be having a baby because I hadn’t planned on it, and I had to start thinking about what it takes to raise a child. I was full of anticipation.

In the second dream I was in a room with cardboard boxes on counters. I looked in them and saw hens in each of them. I walked down the rows and pet some of them. Later I looked in the boxes again and saw that instead of the hens, there were baby chicks.

For some time my husband and I had been going through some challenges and trials that seemed to be squeezing us tighter than we cold bear. We went through a transition which included moving to a different house, with all the difficulties involved in that. There are also some new ministry areas the Lord has been leading us into, as well as the business we own. Instead of simplicity and rest, we seemed to have been enmeshed in complexity and stress for a long period of time.

The Lord has been speaking to the Body of Christ about transition, new beginnings, entering His rest, coming outside the box, and birthing the miracles, healings, and signs and wonders that accompany the bringing of His Kingdom into our everyday lives. I believe there are parallels between what is happening globally, and what we see in our personal lives as we aspire to hear and obey what God is saying in this season.

I believe He was comforting me in these dreams, showing me that this particular process in my life has come to a fullness of time. The “tomorrow” is almost here; the transition into the next season after the long wait. The squeezing is a painful process, but it is a birthing to the freedom on the other side. This applies to the Church in general when we think of the burdens some of us have been carrying for a long time. They have weighed us down, but we’re about to be loosed from them.

We’ve just entered the new Hebrew year 5768, which signifies not only the end of one year and the beginning of the next, but also the end of a whole seven-year season and a new beginning (8 is symbolic of new beginnings) of the next season in God’s plan for the ages. This time is a birthing of a new season upon us personally and corporately; an appointed time of new beginnings, new challenges, new power and authority, and new Glory! Praise to the Almighty!

12 Prophetic Signposts for 2008

As I have been waiting on the Holy Spirit throughout the month of January I have been processing in my spirit several prophetic themes. The listing below includes many of the things Holy Spirit has been stirring in my heart as we move into 2008. I also feel that some of what I shared for 2007 is still being carried over into 2008 and has not reached its full development. I encourage you to also read our 2007 article to continue to lay hold of the Father’s heart for this generation of believers and for your life personally. Take some time to meditate and pray over the Key Scriptures included with each prophetic highlight. I pray these words are a blessing to you.

1) God is about to invade His church. Jesus is inspecting His Father’s temple. Some tables are going to be overturned this year. Don’t be dismayed when you see this happen. It is the hand of the Lord. God is refining the inward motives of the heart. Any work done with a selfish, self-seeking motive will not survive the refining fire. Key Scriptures: Mt 21:12; 1 Cor 3:13, 4:5

2) God is calling the church to return to and re-strengthen the foundations of our faith and personal walk with Him and our ministries. A refining fire is coming and anything not built on a foundation of love will not stand the testing. God is inspecting our works. He wants work motivated by first love, not empty activity. Some lamp stands will be removed this year. Anything not built on love will be shaken. Key Scripture: Rev 2:4-5

3) There will be many “love-tests” this year. People will be given opportunities to grow in true Christ-like love. God will allow moments of difficulty and challenge to teach us to walk and live in love. He is taking us deeper into the gospel of the Kingdom, which is to love God with all our hearts and to love people. God is really bringing a revival of true heartfelt love. God wants to invade whole cities and regions. The key that will unlock cities and bring a move of God like the Welsh Revival of 1904 will be a revelation and reality of Kingdom love. Key Scriptures: 1 Pet 4:12-13; Mt 22:36-40

4) New ministries will be birthed this year. There will be another wave of launching ministries. God has been laying foundations and now is the time to take action and step out into the fullness of the call of God. Some “good things” will have to be let go of in order to lay hold of God’s best. It truly will be a season of “new beginnings” for many. Key Scripture: Gen 12:1

5) The apostolic mandate will continue to mature and come into greater manifestation this year as the church is “sent by God” into the marketplace, highways and byways to see the gospel of the Kingdom advance forward. There will be a fresh emphasis on souls, church planting and discipling new believers. We will see a new wave of evangelism released through apostolic order. God is stirring the body to aggressively pursue creative miracles and deliverance. Look for opportunities for God to move outside of church meetings. If you make yourself available He will move in the most unexpected places. Key Scriptures: Luke 14:23; John 1:6-8

6) God will reveal to the church the true prosperity of the Lord. Any prosperity preached with a motive of greed and selfishness will be shaken down so the true prosperity of the Lord can shine forth. Only God knows the motives and intents of the heart. We must be careful not to prematurely judge people or ministries. Let God be the judge. God is refocusing our understanding of biblical prosperity with the truth that we are blessed so we can be a blessing to others and advance the Kingdom of God in the earth. (Remember, prosperity is more than just finances. It also includes divine health, healing, protection, forgiveness, grace, joy, peace, and much more.) God will continue to anoint people with creative business ideas for supernatural wealth to help fund the end-time harvest. Key Scriptures: 2 Cor 9:6-11; Isa 60:11.

7) Foundational truths will be emphasized by the Holy Spirit, including the blood of Christ, the cross of Christ and salvation through repentance of sin. Key Scriptures: Eph 1:7; Col 1:14; Gal 6:14

8) God is causing us to inspect and re-strengthen our foundation so He can bring multiplication and increase. Anything done with a pure motive and built on a foundation of selfless love will see a wonderful multiplication and increase this year. That which has a solid foundation will be multiplied in 2008.

9) God is teaching His people how to operate in dominion from a position of rest. We must know how to use governmental Kingdom authority from a place of resting in Christ’s finished work. Both dominion and rest are being highlighted by the Holy Spirit. This dominion will cause the enemy to be displaced out of the land of our inheritance so that we can not only possess but be multiplied in that land. Key Scriptures: Col 1:13; Josh 6:1-2, 15-16.

10) An apostolic shift of focus is coming into how we view the “church”. God will continue to give us understanding into the practical functions of the apostolic. God is shifting the vision of leaders beyond their own kingdom onto His Kingdom. A baptism of love will cause leaders to understand “the church” is not just their local congregation, but it is the corporate body within that city, nation and world! Greater expressions will be given to the corporate church. God wants leaders and churches to have a heart for one another.

God wants to invade, awake and transform whole regions and cities. Apostolic leaders will be raised up transforming local churches into holy habitations of God’s glory that release the body of Christ into greater fullness and manifestation. Pastors and other five-fold ministries called to the apostolic will continue to shift this year in their vision and function. Some churches will make the transition from “local church” to “regional apostolic centers”. Through the apostolic we will see a greater merging together of the prayer movement, evangelism and church planting. The prayer movement and power movement will come together in a greater way.

11) This will be a year of understanding God’s great grace on many levels. We will hear a lot about grace, faith and love. Key Scriptures: Gal 5:6; 1 Tim 1:14

12) Those with media mantles given in 2007 will see an increase and expansion in the media in 2008. God and His current day move will be seen on both Christian and secular television. God is invading the airwaves with His glory. We will also see the “face” of Christian TV changing.
